We loved that there were shuttles that could take you anywhere within the island! We also loved how close we were to the beach, pool, and waterpark. All the restaurants nearby had excellent food and our room had a beautiful view and was really spacious and comfortable.

There is no umbrellas at beach and pool and on the beach there is no shade except for the little bit of canvas you can pull over the head. That is NOT enough. Additionally beach loungers are ugly brown and half broken. Everything else was good.

Restaurants often closed, shut early or fully booked. Making it difficult for people on different time zones or with diabetes. Not everyone is from USA or been here before. We did not know that we had to book well in advance, this should be made clear when booking hotel. The onsite shops were extremely overpriced. Water $10 to buy and we had not been given water refill bottles in our room or informed about soft drink refills on arrival. So we spent a lot of money unnecessarily. The pull out bed in a room for 4 adults had a metal pole through the middle of it and was not suitable for a 2 week stay. We did manage to get an extra mattress eventually but staff not seem happy about it. Difficult for long stay guests and older teens, especially when raining. Pinball, table tennis and pool tables would be good. Once you have done the Magic show not a lot else to do in the evenings, unless you want to gamble and give the hotel more money. The food is very repetitive after the first week. The grounds are stunning and pools and waterslides are great. Some of the staff were lovely and made our stay Yvette Dorset and Kent especially. However, many staff appeared bored and were unhelpful especially in the escape room and when we checked in. Atlantis in Dubai was much nicer. Glad I came to Bahamas, lovely people but I don’t think I will be back.

Every year we go and every year the service gets worse. Unappreciative staff that forgets it depends on tourism. With service fees and cst fees added the service doesn’t have to be what it bused to be. The value to what I spend vs the service I get reminds me why other islands make sense to visit.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Reef. Room was great size and the beach was beautiful and peaceful. Walk to all amenities like multiple restaurants and the waterpark was not too long and enjoyable and if you didn’t feel like walking you could take a free shuttle. We were also able to save a ton of money by buying food at the downstairs store like eggs, pasta, waffles, and Milk and prepping all in our room. The Reef Is equipped with a toaster, stove top, microwave, tea kettle and coffee maker! Not to mention they have a dishwasher and all dishware you may need! Five stars for me!

The Reef building is located on a beautiful beach, and the pool is nearby providing beautiful views.

Everything is expensive in Atlantis, but you get what you paid for. overall we all enjoyed our stay at the reef!

The grounds were stunning!! The rooms are starting to be a bit dated. We had issues with the AC and our refrigerator but customer service was excellent and issues were addressed right away. For Atlantis, The Reef is a nice option to be away from crowds and have a private beach and pool, but it’s a long walk if your main interest is the water park.

The Reef consider adding some local vendors to its restaurants...I wanted to experience real Caribbean food from Bahamian owned establishments. Also, please start enforcing the no smoking rule around the resort. Seeing people smoke cigarettes and cigars and discarding the "butts" around the resort took away from the ambiance.

So far the best hotel we have stayed at in Atlantis, my only complaint is Kurig didn’t work right, microwave was very hard to plug in as socket was loose, mirror in bathroom would light up without being turned on and made funny noises.

Terrible Customer Service

Got stranded after a cancelled flight. Booked 2 night stay, on the 1st day went to airport ro see if i could get bumped to flight that day. The Reef automatically checked me out of the hotel when cleaning crew saw me leaving with bags. Couldn't get on flight thay day so went back to hotel and they would not let me stay another night unless i make a new reservation for another $900 even though i already paid for the night. Place is great custom service by far the worst ive ever dealt with. Their assurance line laughed wheb i asked for a 1 night refund.
