Hilton Cairns: Luxury hotel with free WiFi and an outdoor pool. Located on the waterfront.
Excellent location. Rooms and pool showing their age. Annoyingly we booked for 4 people, stayed for 5 nights and every day we had to ask for 4 towels instead of only 2. Minor I know but becomes annoying when you want a shower and there's not enough towels for everyone

Had a fabulous view from my balcony; fab housekeeping; breakfast was amazingly, fairly central especially to dive/reef boats. Great stay overall.

Fitzroy Island Resort: Luxury resort with free WiFi and an outdoor pool. Located near whale watching.
Very big room with cooking equipment, washing machines etc. Food and drink at the bar is better and with reasonable price. There is a path near the level 2 to the summit, so people who stays at resort can use card to access and use the path.
