The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The layout of the room was nice. The shower head kept falling off and hit me on my shoulder a few times. They did replace it though after we reported it. There were no washcloths, but they should supply them for Americans. The bottom of the toilet leaked and got on our pants. There were plenty of mirrors everywhere which was very nice.

We had a great stay at Market Street Hotel. The location, directly across the street from the Edinburgh Waverly train station made transportation to and from the airport easy while also being in the middle of the action, but still quiet. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the rooms were clean, quiet and lovely. There were complimentary drinks and treats in the room, with a great coffee maker and electric kettle for tea. We can't wait to return!

We randomly selected Market Street Hotel as my friends and I were planning a short 2-night stay in Edinburgh on our way to hike Hadrian's Wall Path. We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice! The location was ideal for us to explore Old Town, the staff was gracious and helpful, and the rooms were clean and cozy, as described. The champagne welcome was... well... VERY welcomed by us after our long trip from Phoenix to London to Edinburgh. The complimentary mini bar and coffee/tea set up was a delightful surprise! There's a great coffee shop next door and the hotel is literally across the street from the rail station - very handy for our departure and travel on to Carlisle. I would definitely stay at Market Street Hotel again.

We had a wonderful stay at Market Street Hotel, and kept lamenting that we weren’t staying there the whole trip! Great service, they give you complimentary champagne and other complimentary treats and drinks in the room. Room was super nice and included a steamer, blow dryer with attachments, and even a hair straightener. Loved the waterfall shower as well. The hotel is very conveniently located right next to the train station, airport bus stop, and old town! If we come back to Edinburgh, we will spend the extra money just to stay here again.
