Basic, budget hotel close to Haymarket station and an easy walk into Edinburgh. Clean and tidy, but a bit heavy on notices and rules, which made it feel like a bit like student accommodation. That said, the staff were great and it was convenient and comfortable. Ideal if you want a reasonably priced hotel for exploring Edinburgh

First, I didn’t use the amenities but I accidentally hit a star and it wouldn’t let me not leave a star so I gave it 5 stars because I didn’t want my lower star to hurt the property. The hotel is close to what you need, the staff is very kind, and the hotel was clean. You won’t be sorry!

The Cumberland hotel was very comfortable and the staff is fantastic. There’s a bus stop directly in front of the hotel, which makes it very easy to use the buses- even the airport bus. My room was small but functional and the bathroom was decent sized. Location is very close to Dean’s village and the waters of Leith, which makes her a very nice walk. Breakfast was nice, and again the staff was lovely. I would definitely stay here again.
