The best part of the hotel is the location being walkable from the train station and being reasonably priced. That said it’s definitely spend the little extra to go literally anywhere else instead. While the room itself was a decent size and had a pretty clean bathroom that’s where the positives end and starts the negatives.
As for the negatives the curtain was paper thin not blocking out much light and sound travels all through the hotel making it pretty noisy, some of it from other guests the rest from old pipes. The WI-FI wouldn’t connect either so the coverage probably doesn’t cover all rooms. The shower was completely blocked and wouldn’t drain at all quickly flooding over into the floor. However by far the major issue with the room that ruined the entire trip was a broken proximity light on the ceiling that blindingly flashed on every 2 seconds for the entire stay ensuring no one was able to get a proper sleep.
Staff said they were unable to do anything about this and couldn’t accommodate any other solution such as an alternative room. Considering the room cost over £150 a night this was a massively disappointing stay and I wouldn’t go back.
