Great location, wonderful place to stay

This was a wonderful space to stay for our trip to Edinburgh. Walkable to key tourist attractions yet very quiet. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were wonderful. Would certainly recommend for anyone exploring the city.

Hotel needs concierge services. Desk clerks are responsible for customer checkin, questions and issues as well as concierge services. Several times we had long wait for simple inquiries because the desk clerk was busy booking tours for other guests and in one case no one was at the desk for quite some time.

The staff were very helpful. The room was large, nice and clean. The pool was ok but a bit colder than expected. The dry sauna and steam room are small but work well, male and female access to both sauna facilities.

Great location for Waverley access on foot. Despite the busy streets outside, it was quiet and comfortable inside my room. Check in was quick and trouble free, with a friendly reception. The amenities in the hotel were great. The gym, indoor swimming pool and sauna was very nice. The location of the hotel was very inconvenient. Close the shopping and restaurants. Walking distance to the Royal mile and the Edinburgh Castle. The restaurant at the hotel was very good. We had breakfast one morning and it was very good. Good value. We also had the Sunday Roast at the hotel restaurant. It was also very good. We all en a very enjoyable stay at the Apex Hotel. I would definitely recommend.

Simple 4 star hotel.

Quite a tired looking hotel. Greeted several times with dirty crockery in hallways. Food was nice at breakfast and a la carte menu. Australian guy and girl were very efficient. Restaurant was cold - people sat in jackets. The main thing that was dissapointing was the pool was freezing. No one was getting in.

Convenient location from the station (tip to use exit 3 and get the lift, or at the very least out onto Princes St if you have cases). Room was quiet, clean and comfortable and all staff were very nice, despite there seeming to be a lot of many customers around (if you donโ€™t pay for early check in donโ€™t be mad at people if you have to wait?!). The fire alarm went off one night, but that was due to some idiot deciding to have a 2am cigarette in their room. Both the sauna and steam room were a welcome addition but the โ€˜Spaโ€™ very small. Perfectly fine for a short city break or work trip though! Breakfast was good, but the cafetiรจre option was just filter coffee so wouldnโ€™t recommend ordering that and just stick to the machine. All in all, I would stay here again.

Perfect location

Excellent hotel, with extremely friendly staff (particularly at breakfast). Good pool facilities and nice bar also. Perfectly located.
