The room was clean and staff on reception lovely and welcoming. Id booked a standard double room but think was allocated a small double. Not knowing what to expect I didnt say anything at the time.

Good budget stay. They offered luggage storage as we arrived early before check in. Room is clean but very small. I was staying with my partner and we were ok since I’m a small person. We kept our things organized and only brought backpacks. The room size is good for solo traveler and backpackers. Bathroom gets messy when your shower since it’s beside the toilet. Only one outlet.

Room was the size of a pigeon loft could not open the front door fully because of the bracket for your coats could not open the door to the toilet fully because of the bed I also booked an early check in and had to wait for 20 minutes till I got it

Staff member on reception was pleasant, room was keen. You have to understand that this is a really basic room, there is a space to stand in, the (tiny) en-suite area and the bed. That is pretty much it. If you are just looking for somewhere to put your head down for the night and not share a hostel room then this is a great option but Edinburgh in general is very pricey so don't be shocked that you don't get as much as you would in a Premier Inn or similar. Drinks are available in reception for £1 (no facilities in room) and there is no lift!

Great location, close to restaurants, nightlife, tourist spots. It is a barebones cost friendly hotel so if you are picky traveller it might not be for you but it was incredible for the area and the price range. My wife and I stayed for 3 days and would stay again.

This did exactpy what we needed. A clean, warm room central to everything. We were only needing somewhere comfortable to sleep after busy day sight seeing. We knew it was small but for the price and location peefecf. Staff very friendly.
