No room cleaning.

We stayed for 4 nights. The room was not cleaned during our stay. When I asked at the front desk, I was told that housekeeping did not clean a room unless we stay for 1 week! We had to go to the desk to ask for coffee, sugar, milk and toilet roll.

The bedding had multiple stains, toilet roll holders not operational, only 1 socket in room which was occupied by kettle the rest were all blanked off. Dirty quilt hanging out of gaps in cover. Window glazing failed and unable to see out due to condensation inside, extractor fan in bathroom not in operation.

Old hotel, with old equipment which is not up to date. we stayed 2 nights in this hotel and slept well. Breakfast was ok, staff was helpfull.

The double room was a good size but the beds definitely need the mattresses changed. Huge dip right down the middle. Staff was very nice but unless you buy the full breakfast couldn’t just get a cup of coffee in the morning.

Grubby around the hotel. Used mug and half eaten muffin found in drawer. TV not connected. Shower curtain very stained. Handyman pleasant when fixing TV and reception staff helpful regarding parking. Location is the main positive comment as very convenient for walking into West end

Good enough hotel and short uber trip into the main centre but service was bad, when we walked in to check in no one was there, too busy chatting at the bar and no one to even say they would be with us in a minute etc. When someone finally came these other two people just completely jumped the queue after us waiting 10 mins as the front of house didn’t say “who’s next” etc when we got checked in service was friendly. Key card didn’t work on the first night so we were locked out and again a little but of a wait at the desk. On our last day we wanted to leave our luggage and the guy working wasn’t able to unlock the door for storage for about 10-15 mins and our uber drive off this meant we missed our guided tour as had to take the next uber, so very disappointed.

We booked for 2 nights but ended up leaving after the 1st night, we checked in at 8pm after a long day in the sight seeing when we went to the room (which was located on the first floor basement) we entered the room and notice the carpets coming up around the edges etc as we went to lock the room door from the inside we noticed it didn’t lock or have even a safety lock on the door and that the room also had an on joining room which the door wasn’t locked too, up on noticing these three things we went to leave the room to go to reception when loud shouting came from the corridor outside the room, being two females we didn’t feel safe leaving the room in the moment and used our luggage to barricade the main door to the room, we did try to phone reception but between having no signal even when connecting to the wifi the times the call did go through the reception phone rang out. When the shouting stopped in the early hours we decided to leave the hotel and make the 6hr journey home as we didn’t feel safe staying in the hotel after what happened, upon check out I stated these to the receptionist to which he said we wouldn’t get a refund. I am taking this further as the hotel possesses a major safety concern, ALL doors should be able to lock from the inside and have some sort of safety lock on! I personally don’t care how long it takes I will get a refund. Sadly Expedia doesn’t allow videos but I have them.

No better than a hostel.

Room clean but carpet in corridor badly needed vacuuming Room had no bedside tables to put drink phone etc and no bedside light so impossible to read in bed as overhead light was at other side of room. Asked for bedside light one was provided —at other side of room!! Duvet cover had holes in it Overall no better than a hostel- overall hotel was in poor condition . Reception staff were pleasant but unable to solve the problem

No housekeeping in the rooms . We stayed for two nights and had to ask for towels , toilet roll etc. Rooms in need of redecorating and bed was very uncomfortable. For the amount we paid we were expecting a lot better. Very poor on Britania Hotels.

Mediocre-Not recommended

Hotel was mediocre. Especially annoying is that there was no fridge in the room to keep some drinks cold and the vending machine was broken so I was incredibly thirsty. I begged staff to sell me any cold soft drink but they refused because 'the bar is closed'. Really not very accommodating accommodation!!! I don't recommend.
