Decent hotel with clean well appointed rooms. We’re season ticket holders for the Detroit Lions so the location in relation to Ford Field is the best you’ll find and it’s pet friendly. Like most lodging downtown, it’s overpriced for the age and condition. When you have a room booked, $125 to valet park if you arrive on game day before 3pm is kind of ridiculous. I believe if you’re staying there that night, the normal $55 valet fee should be sufficient. BUT because we have to bring our little ten pound dog with us, we’ll continue to stay here because of that convenience and the location.

There is a missing outlet cover, one out is upside down, one is nearly coming out of the wall. The tub is chipped and poorly patched. The comforter is frayed. The wall trims are just PVC j channels. All of these things are overall fine, no big deal. These little details detracted from the overall feel of the room. Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming though.

Overarching- Location, location, location! Close to everything downtown...sports, restaurants, bars. Positives- friendly, patient, and accommodating staff. darkening shades in rooms, bar and restaurant on site, coffee in the morning. Downside- loud closing room doors, stairs to upper rooms closed entire time, elevator traffic busy, complimentary cold water in lobby was not consistently available.
