My stay a Sonesta East

My experience great other than the cleaning crew didn’t clean the room. Als had to go to the office for towels and washcloth. The cleaning person did even have comforter or cover to use for the sofa bed after asking several times.

The layout of the room is great! We specifically chose it because it had a loft area with separate bathrooms & a kitchen. But it was very dirty on the floor, in the corners, on the curtains & there were several dark hairs remaining on towels & the toilet. We let the front desk know & she gladly offered to show us other units. We looked at 3 or 4 more & they were all in the same condition or worse & smelled awful! So since it was so late & we still hadn’t had dinner, we stayed in our room that night & then told them the next morning that we’d be leaving. The property manager happened to be there at the time & was horrified by the photos we showed him & immediately refunded us in full! We had really wanted it to work out, because the units have a cute, condo type layout, but they need to be thoroughly cleaned & renovated.

MY STAY WAS GOOD, QUICK CHECK IN AND OUT, STAFF WAS FRIENDLY. ROOM WAS CLEAN AND NICE AS WELL AZS BED WAS COMFY. DIDNT MAKE IT TO BREAKFAST. NO ICE MACHINE ON PROPERTY WHICH I THOUGHT WAS INCONVENIENT BUT OTHER THAN THAT MY STAY WAS GOOD. CLOSE TO MANY RESTAURANTS AND SHOPPING AND FREEWAYS.

Arrived july 26 tv did not work in our room they couldn't fix it and did not have anyone to come and to the room. Downstairs bathroom was not flushing properly and told front desk and no one ever showed up. Phone did not work in the room. No housekeeper came to our room at all even after asking her if she was coming to all the rooms but never showed up. Checked out today and let the front desk rep jennifer know all my issues and she apologized for everything and was the only one who showed they cared even though it was too late since we were checking out. Just an overall horrible experience and wish we could get our money back. Room 624

Great customer service

Enjoyed our stay! We were there for a bball tournament and it was in a convenient location. Mike the maintenance guy worked overtime replacing our television upon our stay and was very apologetic for the inconvenience. Mike even tried to exchange our room during this very busy weekend. That was great hospitality within itself. Just off his kindness alone I would give 5 stars.

When we arrived at our room there were bugs crawling on the tables and all of the appliances were pulled out from the wall. They got us another room and this one was just ad gross. There was food left in the window sills, hangers with hair hanging off of them on the back of the bathroom door, the bathroom floor had mounds of dirt and hair on it and the counters were sticky, lastly none of the tvs were set up.

There were a lot of great things about this property, great location, clean room, quiet place. The only bad thing was some roaches in the room. They need to get an exterminator out there. Other than that, good place.

Very spacious but need general repairs and updates. Did not have enough clean towels for my length of stay. So bring your own. Pool was cloudy and dirty the whole stay even after ensured that it would be ready the next day. Did not trust to eat breakfast because rooms were not the cleanest.

The first room we were given keys to had ants crawling on the bedside table and all of the appliances were pulled out away from the wall and there was a terrible stench in the room, we let the front desk know and they moved us to another room. When we got into the second room there was food left on the window ledge, the bathroom floor was covered with hair, there was hair hanging from hangers on the back of the bathroom door, and there was a comb in the flower vase on the counter. The bathroom couner had some sticky brown substance on it and when wiping it off had a bunch of small hairs on it. When we let the front desk know about this room they said that they would have the manager come talk to us in the morning but there was no place they could move us. Upon waking in the morning and going to use a towel, there were hairs on the "clean" towel. Still no manager had come to the room and so we went to the front desk again and were told yet again that a manager would be sent to the room, never was, and then a friend staying at the same place said that they were told they had to leave the property for letting them know their concerns but the lady said they were "bashing the property" so once again went to see about talking to a manager and we were informed that we were being asked to leave the property and if we did not do so by 2:30 the police would be called. I was assured a full refund would be given however at checkout was told that we would not be refunded for the night.

It was okay. The main reason I booked it was for the outdoor pool. It was closed the entire stay. Only gave us 2 towels and 1/4 roll of toilet paper. Had to wait close to 20 minutes for someone to come to the front desk to check me in. Was unaware ahead of time there was a $100 fee on top of paying for the room but that could have been an oversight of mine. It’s more like a glorified motel than what I’m used to from the Sonestas I’ve stayed at in Low Country

We paid for a 2 bedroom suite. Walking up the outdoor staircase to the room, we all tripped on the uneven steps, one step was significantly taller than the rest, safety hazard! There were red stains all over the carpet by every end table and there was debris all over the floor like they didn't vacuum before we showed up. The couch cushion had holes. Several end tables had burn marks on them. It was supposed to be a full kitchen. There was only one spoon, no potholders, dirty dishes in the cupboards, no disherwasher soap or baking dishes. The downstairs bathtub wall had a hole. The outlet in the bathroom could only handle one device at a time or would trip if you plugged in two. Only some of the shower dispensers had anything in them. Shower curtain was ripped. Only 1 of the 3 tv remotes actually worked. The upstairs toilet didn't flush properly. We went to their breakfast on Saturday an hour before the end time and almost everything was empty. For $235.25/night with all the fees, this room sucked! The only thing good were the 3 beds. They also randomly charged me an extra $100 without explanation that I'm fighting to get reimbursed!
