Reds game

House worked well for our needs. Was a bit unsure about the neighborhood. The inside of the house is not what you would expect by seeing the outside of the house. All essentials you would expect were there. the only thing we need that we did not have was a cookie sheet. Owners were very responsive and overall it was a nice stay.

Great and deceiving

When first walking into the property it is GORGEOUS! Everything looks clean, well put together, and you feel right at home. However, their is literal junk and dust in dresser drawers. Kitchen cabinets hold a variety of junk as well. The basement is under construction. You have to provide toilet paper and paper towels as they do not have any stock. Every closet has some form of cleaning equipment. In fact one closet in a bedroom was unusable due to it smelling like a dirty dusty mop. The basement is undergoing renovations. Their is sleeping room for 10 people, but not enough dishes for 10 people. There is a book of rules that should be included in listing. While my family would not smoke in someone else's house, not being able to smoke in a yard or driveway is frankly ridiculous. Instead, they had to stand on the side walk next to a BUSY 5 lane road in order to smoke. While, I am not a smoker, I can see the safety hazard this may cause. There is also a rule of no seafood to be brought in the house due to lingering smells. Again, this should be in the listing. Overall, when looking around the home, it is dirty. When moving a dresser to be able to plug in charges there was what looked to be tobacco packets spit on the floor, Soap scum in the bathroom, and the hand soap looks like water has been added to half full bottles. Overall we believe the home to be overpriced and not up to par with our other VRBO experiences. We can tell this is a newer listing and has great potential. Listing needs to be updated to state rules. Junk needs to be removed from home. Listing needs to include construction. They need a better cleaning service. Thank you!

Extended Weekend Trip to the Creation Museum/the Ark Encounter

We were very pleased with our stay at the House of Blues. We are a large family, and it is often difficult to find accommodations for us. The hostess was very responsive and we felt very welcomed. The property is still undergoing some renovations and will be an even better space when that is finished. We will definitely be back when we return to the area.
