Great Hotel

The room was very clean and spacious. Located in Back Bay with easy access to shopping, restaurants, Fenway Park and the Freedom Trail. The hotel staff was extremely nice and accommodating.

Lobby shop has limited stock and hours. Gym sanitizers empty. Tv offers no premium stations. Bar manager was settling cash draw issue with bartender in front of customers. Every one felt uncomfortable, not to mention there was no service. Rooms are old and tired.

It’s on the Hop-on/off Old Town Trolley Tour stop schedule! That was super convenient. We did like the cleanliness of the room. The bell hops were approachable and friendly. Kudos to the staff! We had a problem with the coffeemaker, but they sent someone up quickly to handle the problem. What was off-putting is for my money I have stayed in nicer hotels for less than half the price. They threw a surprise “facility charge” of about $35 per night upon check-in. For that you really got nothing out of the ordinary in return aside from a veiled raise in your room rate. There were limited snacks and beverages (Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, coffee, tea and water) available at no extra charge till 7 pm on Sunday and Monday, but only available till 4 pm the rest of the week? No snacks or beverages available for purchase in lobby. However they did have a nice restaurant on site. Overall, I will not return and would not recommend.

The bed has hairs. Toilet bowl flush pressure is very slow, like about 5-10 minutes interval to fill up the water to do another flush. Took time to mix the water heater & cold. The rooftop was closed but never advised it was. When we brought up to the attention of the front desk, brass tone and rude voice. Just unbelievable! Went to check in here for a celebration, glad it is only a night stay. We were placed to the end room and view was another building. The a/c was not proportion to the beds, just straight hitting one bed.

Lovely hotel, great location with a tube stop outside, lots of restaurants, walking distance to Fenway Park. Staff and service was fabulous Room was spacious and beds very comfortable Lots of little extras - like a rubber duck and access to a guest cafe with snacks and drinks was a great bonus
