"Yes" to both of those questions. However, I had to ask for the room to be cleaned after 3 days. I wasn't awakened at the prearranged time but luckily awoke early enough to catch the bus, to catch the train. Just a bit of a rush. So, my stay was ok. But it is annoying to be made to pay more when the hotel is busier and less comfortable. Regards, James MacDonald.

The staff are always welcoming from day one. We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and found it a very enjoyable experience. There has been the odd little glitch but rectified right away. The only one problem we found that if you don't want to use your car and want to use the bus service you have to walk into barnsley interchange to go anywhere its a 20 minute walk across a very busy roundabout and road. The rooms are always very clean and tidy but still an excellent place to stay.

Room was big, clean and staff was friendly but the bed was ridiculously uncomfortable. The bed was very firm and even with two pillows there was no neck support due to them being too soft. Did not get a good nights sleep due to waking in discomfort

Room looked pretty clean only concern was mattress pretty hard. Staff seemed friendly but lacked any urgency to do anything. Breakfast could be better as they lack any effort to refill any food or fresh products especially towards end of time.
