Rooms were basic, poor lighting in the rooms, no central ceiling light. The lamp lighting were very dim.The kettle took around 10 minutes to boil. If you wanted just a 1 night stay, it's suitable. I think in European terms, I'd give this is a 1.5 to 2 star rating

Advise: Pay with cash/euros and ask for a paper receipt. I had two separate reservations booked for this location 27 days apart and although I am pleased with the shuttle bus, as well as the cleanliness of my room, there were some issues. Unfortunately, the Internet was spotty (having had to check in for my flight from the lobby) and I also had issues with billing due to a 'new system' which managed to charge my credit card at my time of checking out of the hotel, even though I booked and fully paid for my stay in April--prior to my stay in July--with the exception of the city tax that I knew I would have to pay at the property. This issue took three weeks to resolve and while the staff was very friendly and helpful with resolving some issues, my credit card company still had to refund me because the 'new system' had no record of the receipt the was emailed to me. While I am had a restful stay there needs to be a better method of checks and balances. Please, check your email/receipts before leaving the property and/or country.

Plain room with convenient airport shuttle

The Best Western Plus Amsterdam Airport was very basic. Decent place to stay if you need a night near the airport. They offer a free airport shuttle that is very convenient. The room was austere, quite plain, no frills. The bathroom smelled like a dirty locker room and the sink was clogged the first time we turned the water on. The person working the desk (Ronald) was very helpful and got a maintenance person in quickly, but still, not a great condition to find things in when you first get somewhere.

Very noisy place. People coming and going at all times of the night, loud noise penetrating due to poor insulation. Beds are terrible, very soft and guaranteed to wake up with back pain. Won’t stay there again.

The rooms were absolutely amazing. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. But I’m not sure if her name but the lady who checked me and also I went down to ask her a question later. It seemed like we checking in and asking her a question I seem to annoy her in some situation. I’m not really sure. Perhaps she was having a bad day. I’m sure you can check and see what her name is on my check-in log. And I don’t use to report attitudes, but she just definitely have a bad night or just did not want to talk to me. There was a gentleman at the desk that did seem to see her behavior and tried to help me.

Beds are a disaster

Shuttle bus did not turn up at airport, had to take a taxi Bed mattress was way too soft. Sheets were to small to stay tugged in so after a bit of twisting and turning I was sleeping with my skin on an old and dirty mattress

The hotel was clean and the service was good. It would be even better if there was a shuttle to Amsterdam city center. We thought check-out was at 2 PM, but at 11:30 a staff member knocked loudly and asked us to leave. We paid €30 to stay until 2 PM. The receptionist could have been more polite at check-out.
