Room did not look like the pictures, very run down and needs to be renovated. Dark rooms, moudly bathroom with the visitor befores hairs all over the tub, shower and floor. Event held which was super noisy and we were not aware of the event. The walls are paper thin and could hear next door talking/ sneezing. Can hear the people above walking around all night. Didnt sleep well at all!

Staff were nice on arrival. Room was noisy, lounge was hard and stained, bed saggy, spa well passed it’s used by date. Noises from above were offensive firstly the spa and then after those people moved as their spa didn’t work properly someone took it upon themselves to use the room for a sex romp until the wee hours with periods of loud talking and clomping around the floor. The lock on the door was also insufficient. Cobwebs on the ceiling. I won’t be returning.

The kitche was not fully set as a kitchen. No toaster, no towels provided for the pool. Which stopped us swimming. Ask to provide a security deposit of $100 in case damage occured. This does not happen with other motels or hotels?

The property was nice, a bit run down. The room was old, but tidy. The pool was clean but the tiles & walls around were very dirty. The restaurant was nice, good prices for lunch especially as they include hot vegies & salad bar.

Despite their ageing rooms and facilities, this property excelled in customer care and service; clean and spacious room with a jetted tub was good value for money; stayed for 4 nights to access Penfold’s Magill Estate and the world-class wineries in McLaren Vale; the affordable accommodation we had at St Francis permitted us to binge on tasting the delicious and iconic wines in the region; thank you to Angie and to our lovely room attendant for keeping our room safe and tidy everyday; I will stay here again and recommend them highly for showing kindness and respect for paying customers like us; well done to you all at St Francis Winery Hotel!

I didn’t stay long, but the lady who checked me in was lovely the room was clean and tidy. I had everything I needed. I didn’t hear much road noise from the room that I was in despite reading complaints from other patrons in the reviews.

Wasn’t too bad overall, curtains didn’t block out much sun and the tv was mounted on a wall not facing the bed, a little inconvenient but not the worst, at the very minimum there could be some water in the fridge or atleast a jug to cool some water if needed 👌
