The Atura is, genuinely, one of the best hotels that I have stayed in internationally! Outstanding facilities, brilliant room service and a great room (love the bathroom gnome!)
Had everything we needed for group of 10, 5 couples, each couple with own room. Own space after 4 day Houseboat trip was perfect, just as planned. Hotel so very handy to everything and I mean everything. Had been warned about the area of Hindley St but it was just fine. Heard no noise from rooms ...
Unfortunately we had an adjoining room & rhe family next doir were very loud. Also due to public holiday there was limited cleaning done & we had room service the night before & the left over food was not removed.
The staff were really friendly and helpful. The bedrooms are really nice and presentable. The amenities were really the only let down with presentation in the room.
I enjoyed my stay in this remarkable hotel with the historical building and especially with the great location and lovely reception stuff. The cafe Den is beautiful and food is great too. the rooftop bar is fantastic I had a great time there too. If the cleanness in the public area can be improved ...
Loved the room, bathroom and bath was great. Only problem we had was, an hour after we arrived we put the radio on whoch is supplied by the hotel, its a clock radio, and we got told we have a complaint for being too loud, at 2pm in the afternoon which we dound ridiculous, then we got a call an hour ...
The Playford was lovely and so were the staff. Standouts were Justin on Reception and Chris and Hannah in the Restaurant. Chef, whilst we did not meet him prepared an exquisite feast! Our only issue was that we booked and paid for a King Suite and arrived at the room exhausted from a day's travel ...
In fact we booked a 1 bedroom apartment and the staff very kindly upgraded us to a 2 bedroom apartment. In general the whole apartment was roomier than the 1 bedroom version we usually have so thank you very much guys!
