It's a lovely old hotel!

The breakfast was excellent! Waffle-maker was fun. Coffee was great. Scrambled eggs and sausage links were yummy and best of all, you eat them on porcelain plates (not paper plates). You could dine at the outdoor area with the view of the stream. The hotel has an old school look but classy! Our room has the view of the woods. My family and I enjoyed our stay there.

I liked the bar/restaurant was in the rear of the building. It was a very short distance to walk, but seperated it from the Inn. Plenty and a variety of seating by the stream on the deck. The breakfast were good. The brick oven pizza is amazing!!! The shuttle service took us to Mohican Sun casino, it was a quiet and cozy place to be. I would stay here again.

Room was neat and tidy. The staff was friendly and tried to help. Problems were- the toilet ran all night long and sweated so badly there was a puddle on the floor in the morning. Bathroom faucet was leaking. Hallway door entrances need repainting and some wall portions need replacing (coming off). I’m diabetic and carry insulin. There was no freezer in the mini fridge to store my ice packs in the room so I was told to bring it to the restaurant and they’d put them into the freezer. I did that. In the morning when I went to pick them up I was told I had to go to the front desk and talk to them about it. They called the guy and told him I needed to get my ice packs. When I went back an ice pack was missing. They are a special type for my insulin cooler so they are more expensive than a typical ice pack. Was told by front desk they’d give the manager a message but as of yet I’ve heard nothing. Grounds were nice but the inside pool was quite cloudy. The outside pool was clear. Had to go to front desk to get towels. They gave us some and said they’d have them restocked but never did. Food was good. Complimentary breakfast was very basic: cereal, fruit, eggs, sausage, potatoes, coffee, juice, bagels.

This has the capabilities of a 4.5, but needs a lot of upkeep. Our room was clean, but hallway and stairway stunk of mildew. Wall paper pealing or cut in many places, plumbing fixtures loose. Staff was friendly and helpful. Garbage bags left in hallway and stairwell. Windows in Japanese restaurant were disgusting, and bar in other room was sticky and dirty. Again, this could be a 4.5 with updating and cleaning.

Horrible

Went for the weekend for a girls trip. Only one plug worked in our room. This neant we didn't have any working lights or tv. We tried moving our coffee maker to the working plug (in the bathroom) and found out that the coffee maker was broken. We love our coffee so i went to the front desk to get a replacement. They didn't ask what room i was staying in and the young lady just told me, 'sorry we don't have any replacements". It was very inconvenient. The Balcony was stream side but we couldn't enjoy the view because our balcony was slanting down and felt very unstable. We were afraid to sit out there. The building was very run down, the guests were very rowdy and drunk (not a family friendly place) and there was a couple fighting out in the hallway at 3am while we were trying to sleep. It was a horrible place and not worth the money (even though it's pretty cheap, now i know why)

Free breakfast was not convenient for handicapped partner. Had to walk long hallway then go up 2 full sets of stairs and then down another set to reach dining room. We were not informed of this inconvenience
