I checked in late in the evening, as just stopping through on my drive across to the east coast for a quick sleep before heading out early. Being greeted by a smiling face who seemed genuine and happy to be there was very nice. The room was immaculate, very comfortable, plus beautiful, and very stylish. Breakfast at the bar was super tasty and quick! The bar tender/server was friendly and super personable. Later to find out at the end of a good conversation he is the general manger there. All in all it was a wonderful stay, I was impressed especially for the cost of a room. Thank you for a great night sleep and a delicious meal!

Erin, at the front desk, knew that we stay there 4 times per year, every year- and found ways to recognize our loyalty. The room she chose for us was absolutely fantastic. Not only did she do special things for us but she also was demonstrating methods for enabling the Inn's owners to ensure future business. Every Holiday Inn needs at least one Erin!

We stay there 4 times per year when traveling from Maine to Virginia to visit with our daughter and family. Our stays at the Holiday Inn Scranton East have all been both fabulous -and predictable. We would suffer a terrible letdown in the event that they couldn't accommodate one of our planned stays!

"The only thing I didn’t like about this location is that you have to pay for both breakfast and dinner. I can understand having to pay for dinner, but charging for both—especially when you arrive expecting breakfast to be included—is a bit disappointing. It wasn’t clearly stated on the website that breakfast wasn’t included. That said, the food was good, so no complaints there."
