Nothing like the picture
Terrible experience! First off you check in and they send you to another building where your room is and it’s very confusing to find. Hotel is so fun down and felt like I was at a Motel. So loud, room was run down, AC was extremely noisy, and took over 20 minutes to check out.

Loved our stay, although service was slow
The room was clean and comfortable and we had excellent service from housekeeping for the first half of our stay. We really appreciated fresh towels and sheets. Later in our stay, we were informed that housekeeping would only come when scheduled ahead. We scheduled ahead for the rest of the week but received service only the following day. The food in the cafe was good, but service was slow. We had to plan well ahead so we had time to eat before leaving for our plans for the day. More people were needed at the front desk. I couldn't call the front desk, so I had to walk around the building and then stand in line for 15-20 minutes each time I had an issue. The pool was wonderful! We booked this resort for the price and for the pool and both met our expectations.

Budget friendly hotel with the essentials you need
This hotel is by far the best deal you can find around the Universal resort. The property overall is in good condition and the restaurants and shops around it are useful and convenient. The pool area is amazing and is by far the highlight of the property. The rooms are in decent shape with comfortable beds, nice TVs and good heating & air. Some of the rooms need a little touch up as it is showing age. The walls were a little thin and I could hear my upstairs neighbors pretty clearly. Some of the security measures should be updated as most of the key card readers the hallways were not working and unlocked. The free Universal shuttle is very helpful. If this place had a bit of an update and free breakfast, it would be a home run. But if you are on a budget for a Universal trip, this is the place you should stay.
