Beautiful hotel in a great location with wonderful staff. When I am staying in any hotel cleanliness is a primary issue, and the Astra is as clean as any I've stayed in. We did the breakfast option, which is a great deal. Several varieties of hot plates and an espresso drink for $9? No brainer. We also had dinner in the dining room and the staff and food was great. Pricing was right, too, as we squeaked in under the Happy Hour deals. Now for the issues. When staying in a 4-Star hotel...two of my important factors are comfortable beds and soft towels. The latter is a bit indulgent, but both of them were simply hard. I can excuse a hard, crunchy towel, but really? A stay this nice deserves soft and fluffy. What I can't excuse is a rock-hard mattress. My wife likes a firm bed, but it was even way too hard for her. Literally - my living room carpet is more comfortable. I even resorted to trying to sleep in the chair, but that was hard as well. The room was also noisy. Not sure if it was from the elevators across the hall, but there was an almost constant light growl of some kind. It wouldn't have been an issue, though, if I wasn't constantly waking up from the hard bed. We had an extremely poor night's sleep and we both got up with joint and muscle pain from the bed; we won't be staying here again...which is a shame. They hit 95% of what you want from a hotel in spades, but isn't a good night's sleep why you need a hotel in the first place?

Loved this hotel. Spotless and modern room that had a great view, super comfy beds, great shower and bathroom and wonderful heating/cooling system. Very nice and helpful employees. The only thing negative was the $65 per day parking.
