The hotel was located in a great place but that’s the best part of this review. Unfortunately, when we arrived at 3pm (as directed) the hotel was under staff with only one person and a line ten groups deep. Rooms were not ready and not enough staff to service the line of guests. The reception area was cluttered with so much random stuff that there wasn’t much seating or standing area. There was an aquarium with dead fish and a lot eclectic furniture. The interior is dark and dingy with reflections of the haunted mansion. The staffing did their best to check everyone in, be we didn’t get our room till 6:30pm. The room was clean but not really comfortable. There so much that needs be updated just to bring the hotel into the 2000s. I couldn’t recommend this unless you are in a pinch. It was definitely a disappointment.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this Inn. The rooms felt very neglected and poorly maintained, and the property overall looks old and worn. The bathroom had visible mold on the walls, which is unacceptable and concerning from a health standpoint. Noise was a constant issue. There was very loud noise coming from neighboring rooms and from above, especially whenever someone used the shower. The pipes made an extremely loud noise for the entire duration of the water running, making it difficult to rest or sleep. Front desk service was also lacking. After 6 PM, there was no staff available—only a note instructing guests to call a number. I tried calling and left messages, but no one ever answered or returned the calls. Although the Inn advertises free breakfast, the quality was very poor. The food selection was bad, and on one occasion there was so much smoke coming from the waffle station that it felt like a fire was about to start, which was alarming. I stayed for three nights, and during that time there was no room service at all. Trash was never collected, and the room was not attended to in any way. Overall, this stay did not come close to justifying the amount of money charged. The lack of maintenance, service, cleanliness, and responsiveness made this a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this Inn based on my stay.

We weren’t able to check in until 6:30. The room wasn’t available and the poor staff was unsupported. There was only one person available to check everyone in at 3pm when we were told to come. There was a line 10 people deep. The hotel has the most eclectic and weirdest interiors. There isn’t enough parking for guests, and rental bikes as listed in on site. Have low expectations and it’s a place to lay your head, then you’re fine. The location is great but I can’t say much more.

The hotel is great unique and with an antique Spanish flair however they could probably think about better use of space because it’s too cluttered. The rooms are clean it’s just that the sheets are a bit smelly and scratchy. Parking is limited too but considering the area it is a good option.

Room was dirty. Toilet door donot have a lock. Toilet paper holder was missing. Need to carry the toilet roll in your end. Shower area is 2 ft away from the bed and is part of the room with no separate bathroom. Hotel has only about 10 parking slots for 40+ rooms. Breakfast option is very less and unhealthy. Waffle machine is so dirty that you will not feel good to make a waffle. In short, do not book & stay at this hotel

The location is great! The property is quaint and funky. I had spied it when walking around one month ago and jumped at a chance to stay a couple of nights. The downside was the loud plumbing, weak shower water pressure, and the breakfast did not have any fresh fruit or protein, just sugary items.

We stayed at the multi-bed cottage with a full kitchen for 2 nights, one night being Thanksgiving night. We packed dinner thinking restaurants might be closed and meant to take advantage of the kitchen. Upon arrival, the floor looked like it was not swept so we were already having low expectations for the rest of the room. It was clean for the most part but the toilet seat needed to be replaced (stains and loose bolt) and one of the couches smelled like a wet towel if you sat in it. In their defense, this was a pet friendly hotel so we didn’t expect it to be luxurious. One other complaint was the lack of things in the kitchen. There were no cups, just 2 mugs that were different. I think 1 small pot and a bunch of lids to missing pots/pans. The couple dish-ware they provided did not match, and the dish drying rack was gross. Luckily we had packed some disposable plates and utensils to avoid doing dishes. The staff was very friendly though and provided everything we asked for. We were concerned about how cold the room was and they provided a portable heater for the bathroom since the heating units were on the opposite side of the room. The lobby and room for breakfast could use a deep cleaning too but the furniture/decor added to the hotel’s charm. Also note, I peaked into another window of a vacant room in the main building, and that room looked a lot nicer. Maybe just the cottages are not better kept.

The bed had hairs everywhere like it wasn’t properly washed, the bath tub was filthy.. had dried leaves and dirt inside it, there was toilet paper in the toilet like someone didn’t clean it or flush, mirror had white toothpaste specks, and the breakfast waffle machine wasn’t cleaned so black burnt pieces kept falling off onto the waffle.

They did not honor the hotels.com price and overcharged our two rooms upon checkin. We requested a refund and have not gotten any feedback. Including the two days while on property, they did not respond in kind to gain our original price in a refund.
