The property itself is decent, but our experience at check-in left a lot to be desired. The clerk was inattentive—we were literally left waiting while he stood outside petting a cat. Then, he told us our reservation hadn’t been paid, even though we booked and paid through Expedia. We ended up being charged twice. To make matters worse, the first room we were given was under construction. After going back to the desk, we were reassigned to a different room that wasn’t oceanfront, even though that’s what we had originally booked. On a positive note, the clerk who checked us out was much more professional and helpful. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and frustrating, which was disappointing given the potential of the property.

Nice place for LGBT. Nice shower with good pressure and nice hot water. Hotel is right on the beach! Would go again with a new boyfriend that isn’t a P.O.S.!!

Love that this property is beachfront. Also I felt very safe as a woman who traveled solo with their 24-hour front desk and security. The food is amazing! Only thing I wish the room doors were more soundproof. I was able to hear the movie that the guest across the hall from me was a watching. Nonetheless, I will still be back to visit!

Rooms were definitely not like the pictures on website. I booked for oceanfront and saw the few of the patio rooftop. Was celebrating a friend 60th birthday. Brunch prepared was awesome. Richie and Alexandria at the bar made up for the poor room quality at hotel.

We’ve been guests at The Tryst at least 6 times. Each time we meet more of the wonderful staff. They e always been so helpful with our needs and travel plans! The proximity to coffee shops, restaurants, convenience store, and the beach is perfect! Comfortable beach chairs, with umbrella and table are steps from the hotel! They’ve added a beach bar with full-service, which was an amazing surprise! So much to enjoy here!
