They had construction the whole time we was there. Every morning a 7am wake up call by tools. No one warned us of anything other than that everything was walking distance and there was a lot of space in the apt.

For the price there are better options

The location was great, right in the heart of Old San Juan. A few of things stood out as detractors. The bathroom had no counter and no place to hang towels. It was inconvenient to use due to this basic lack. There are a couple of long term drips in the bathroom ceiling, and one of them was right where it dripped on you as you were using the toilet. The furniture overall was is a little disrepair. The chrome was deteriorated and the veneer peeling. But the Big hassle was that the property required a picture of your credit card prior to arrival. Feels like a huge unnecessary security risk.

Would definitely stay here again!

Location was quiet, well lit and felt safe. Inside was clean and well furnished. The AC unit in the room was not cooling the first night we were there. Once I messaged the property manager their response was prompt & they repaired it quickly. Only downside was no elevator for those staying on the top floors & having to park far but you are made aware of this way ahead of time so read all the info sent to you when you make your reservation. No complaints from me, the place was amazing & the price was better than expected for the location.

The unit that we stayed in was on the 4th floor with absolutely beautiful views of ocean, the city and the Governor’s mansion! That being said, it was on the fourth floor with no elevator, so pack lightly ~ we didn’t. Wonderful stay with a workout!

Great location close to everything we wanted to see in old San Juan. Very nice spacious apartment! A bit noisy at night from the street but didn't bother us much.

I would not recommend this property to anyone. Immediately upon entering, it was a strong smell of mold. The bathroom doorknob was broken and kept falling off. I reported this to the property via text. The same bathroom had a broken exhaust fan. The water pressure was so terrible we needed to wash our hair in the kitchen sink. Several ceilings had black mold on them. The second bedroom ceiling fan was broken so they had a standing fan in the room, which was fine. The smoke shop across the street was so loud with their music that we could not hear each other talking, we needed to yell to communicate. The smoke shop is open from mid morning 9am or 10am until around 10pm. That's a long time to not have a moment of peace especially with small children. The tv was broken, however I believe it was only the remote. After changing the batteries ourselves it still wouldn't work properly. Day 2 the island wide power outage occurred. This property does not supply a generator and their communication was hours after the black out and only after I inquired. Not to their fault, but the diesel fumes from other's generators were so strong we couldn't even have the windows open. The mold and the thick air caused my youngest to have an asthma attack. I would return to Old San Juan in a heart beat, but would never stay at these rentals again. However beautiful the building was, this company does not seem to keep up with their properties.

Great Location if you want to be in the mix of things, down the street from bars, shopping, eating, sight seeing, bring ear plugs for late night strolls from bar goers and traffic. Loved it.

Liked the area. Very central to everything however it was pretty noisy and a bit hard to find. Facility had a nice PR feel. Staff was very helpful with information and recommendations and attentive to any issues.

Clarify what to expect on arrival

The original unit we were booked into was very tiny, bar fridge and bathroom sink in kitchenette, shower slope to far corner of bathroom so floor soaked after taking a shower. Unable to flush toilet paper due to old plumbing!!!! Pictures online looked better than real life. Very steep stairs to walk up. Beds were comfortable. The power in our building went out and our unit had no windows, pitch black with no air movement ( it was very hot/humid) loud sounds of ? Generators that sounded ready to explode at any minute. I contacted property management who brought flash lights and found us alternative accommodations 2 blocks down in a different rental unit that did have windows and power. Had to pack up in the dark and very early morning to move, with very little sleep, and very very hot/sweaty. We ended up having to cancel our car rental as originally planned for the day because of no sleep and “lost” a day of our vacation.

Wonderful location but unit needs attention

The good: first off, the location of this apartment is amazing. It is located on Fortaleza street in a part that is actually blocked off to traffic by police for the Puerto Rican White House. You have to go through barricades to get to it (no issue, everyone was polite and seemed familiar with the process). There are some really pretty lights hanging that draws tourists on the weekends. Very picturesque! The annoying: The check in process was cumbersome. I received no less than four text messages from the management company asking me to complete a web check in form after I already completed it. Lots of unnecessary back and forth to make sure that the reservation was correct and ready for us. The bad: The apartment was dirty. Lots of dust and cobwebs. The doors to the closet and bathroom in particular had layers of dust - a previous tenant had written "clean me" with their finger but no one ever did, so clearly this has been an ongoing issue. A dead roach in the corner. Some of the furniture was broken, including the seats on the dining chairs. Light bulbs burned out. All in all, I'd say the location outweighed the other issues, but FYI.

Pictures didnt do this property justice. Very cool place, so close to the governors mansion our entryway ended up behind the police baracade when a protest broke out. So that was fun. But ceilings of the room were VERY high, which is a cool feature the pictures dont capture.

This is located on the picturesque street that used to have umbrellas but not has lights. It is very close to the governor's mansion, and the street is blocked off and guarded. But the police are very friendly and let you in and out easily.

You can walk around old San Juan with a safe mind. Everything is close. Apartment is amazing. Lots of stairs to go up, no elevator, keep that in mind. But comfortable. Enjoy the best gelato in the corner. I can’t wait to come back

Extremely loud nightlife/motorcycles revving their engines/loud music late into the night. The building is old and right on the street so it sounds like a party in your bedroom until 2am. They provided only 3 towels and 1 washcloth for 3 guests/1 week stay. They did eventually deliver more upon request. Housekeeping never showed up, not once. The plumping is sensitive so you can’t flush toilet paper, I understand the city/plumbing is old. However, no one wants dirty TP sitting in a trashcan for one week without housekeeping or any instructions on where to dispose of the garbage. The ceiling in the bathroom was leaking (you get water dripping on you when using the toilet). The glass shower doors are unaligned and “clank” together when opening and closing the shower door. I made the property management aware of the issue bc I was terrified that the glass door would break and that we would be held liable. They never responded. It seems they are hoping to hold a tenant liable rather than fix the issue before it bocomes a much bigger issue. No hooks to hang towels or swimsuits. Hand soap in the bathroom was refilled with water. Lacked any and all amenities you might find at another hotel.

Apartment beautiful however, it was on the top floor and stairwell was very narrow. Difficult to carry large luggage. Apartment also had a washing machine but no dryer as advertised. Property in great location for Viejo San Juan activities.
