Shuttle driver was great. Friendly, engaging, professional. Continental breakfast staff were great but internet says breakfast starts at 6, it’s 6:30a. Only meat option was turkey bacon that looked microwaved but otherwise a decent selection. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom felt upscale. Bed/linens clean and comfortable. My biggest gripe is the almost 1.5hrs it took to get from the airport to our room using the shuttle. Considering the close proximity (less than 10mins) to the airport and the fact that we landed at almost midnight so there was minimal traffic was aggravating to say the least. The man that answered the phone the 1st time said 20 minute ETA, suspiciously long wait but okay. 30 mins later no shuttle so I called for a status update. Girl that answered said she could have the shuttle to us in 30mins. What the heck?! It took 7mins from pickup to drop off once the shuttle showed up no idea why it would take 30mins. Got to the hotel and it took another 20mins to get checked in because the front desk girl was missing in action then had to check-in the line of ppl that formed while she was gone. At this point it was after 1:30a. We specifically chose this hotel because of its proximity to the airport due to an early flight the next day. Disappointed is an understatement. Ruining Hyatt’s reputation with their subpar performance.

Parking and food issues

People at checkin were great. Parking was terrible, people taking up multiple spaces. Staff was moving their cars to find us a spot. Room was very nice, had one issue maintenance took care of quickly. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Bacon didn’t look like it was cooked, no sausage, waffles soggy. Better to go to one of the restaurants across the hwy.

Scary stain on bedspread

Although service was great, there was a major stain on one of the two bedspreads. Since we came in late, we did not go down and request another room. Instead, we shared 1 of the 2 beds.

Hotel Gem near Sacramento Airport

The hotel staff were very helpful and the hotel itself is conveniently located near the Sacramento Airport. We used the airport shuttle in the morning and it arrived promptly (at 4:30 am). The hotel is very clean and modern. The rooms are quite large and the bed was comfy. Note - they do not have a microwave in the room. They had a bar and restaurant in the hotel which we did not use. They also had a mini market with lots of food options. We chose to buy some food from the market. They have a microwave that you can use in the market area. We wished that they provided some paper plates, utensils and napkins -- we had to go to the bar and ask for forks. Also, it would have been helpful to know the prices of the items in the market before they were put on our hotel tab. We would definitely stay again at this hotel.

We called the hotel 4 hours prior to our arrival to communicate about using the airport shuttle. During the call, we were told we needed to call upon airport arrival but that the shuttle was every 30 mins. When we arrived we called when we got to the airport at 1015pm. We were told the shuttle would be at the airport at 1030. We waited until 1040 & called again to inquire the shuttles whereabouts. We were told the shuttle would be there at 10:45pm. The shuttled arrived at 1050pm. This was very frustrating w/our departure we needed to leave at 445am. The hotel said in our initial phone conversation, they said we just needed to schedule when we arrived but that it was basically on call at that time of day. When we actually checked into the hotel, they told us that we could have a 4:30am or 5am shuttle, so we chose the 4:30am shuttle to arrive at the airport in time. We were told that we had to be in the lobby 5 minutes prior to board the shuttle. We arrived at 425am & my husband saw the shuttle leaving. We asked & they said it would be back in time. We waited. The shuttle didn't show up until 4:45am. We finally loaded & were leaving the parking lot & the shuttle turned around to collect people for the 5am shuttle making us late for our plane. (a member in our party is disabled & had to be early for accommodation) Their actions cost us stress, sleep, $, & created issues w/airline accommodations- almost missed our plane. NOT WORTH THE $. BETTER OFF STAYING AT THE SMF
