The room that we stayed in was very small and did not feel like a Superior Double Room. We had booked 3 nights but checked out after only 1 night. The air conditioner was so noisy that we could not sleep if the air was running. If we turned the air conditioner off, then the room became so hot that we could not sleep. After we turned off the light at night we heard a rodent in the room nibbling on something. The mattress had severe pilling, which could be felt through the bottom sheet when in bed. My wife woke in the morning after the first night with a bite of some kind on her cheek. The shower was so small, that we found it difficult to squeeze in with the doors open as far as they could be opened. After the first night we asked reception if they had another room and they said they were fully booked. This left us with no option other than to book into another hotel on short notice. When we returned home, I wrote a detailed complaint email to the hotel asking for a refund for the 2 unused nights accommodation, but the hotel manager did not even have the courtesy to reply.

The hotel is in a brilliant location, very near to plenty of restaurants, the main train station, the subway, and in walking distance of every sight we visited. The lift was very small and wouldn't be suitable for anyone with large bags or a disability, and the stairs can be quite awkward. The room was nice, however the bathroom was quite cramped and poorly ventilated (no working extractor). We only had a few small bags, though if you had several large suitcases, you would have struggled opening them all with the limited floorspace. We also only had a skylight window, so no view of anything around us. The hotel staff were friendly and we always had clean towels and sheets when we needed. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want a convenient location for a short stay.

It was fine. Nice that it was close to the train station, however the air conditioning wouldn’t work, the front desk was super unhelpful and just said they could see that it was on, on their system. There was also an alarm pad and fire alarm that was blinking all night. Saying “help” I asked the front desk about this too and they just shrugged it off. So we covered it with tape and a cloth, and tried to ignore the one on the ceiling. Very dirty out front, piles of dog poop on the road and front steps, entrance was in an alley or skinny street, did not feel the safest. So all in all, fine for one night, but we will not be staying there again.

The room was not like the pictures on the WotIf website. The shower was so small that I could hardly fit through the door. The air conditioning was extremely noisy, so loud that I found it hard to sleep. If we turned the air-condition off at night to reduce the noise, the room became so hot that it was difficult to sleep. After we turned the light out at night we heard a mouse or a rat nibbling away a something in the room. The room was small, and not really any space for a second large suitcase.

For the price of the night stay, it was amazing. You are literally few minutes walk from Roma Termini and they have nice cafés around the hotel to eat at. Wouldnt recommend any other place for a good budget and great location.

Hotel location was quiet and close to the supermarket and cafes. The hotel offers free luggage storage which is nice. However, it is basically an unattended room easily accessible to anyone. I felt slightly uneasy as a maintenance worker walked by as we dropped things off, as there is no physical staff there. I question the thoroughness of the cleaning staff as we found a hat from the previous guest in our closet space. There were a few old stains in the walls and our sheets were pilling. Also, we had to call reception twice to get our air conditioning turned on. To top it off, the button to our toilet got stuck a few times which we would have to remove the actual panel to reset! Overall I would definitely not stay here again; thankfully we were only here for a couple of nights and were out most of the day.

Honestly it was one of the most amazing hotels I have ever stayed in in Europe. Relais Santa Maria was in the perfect location in Monti, surrounded by small Italian restraunts. It was a 10 minute walk to colosseum and overall just a 10/10. They had a daily cleaning and 24/7 reception. I would definitely stay in this hotel again if I’m back in Rome !

This is a great spot for a quick trip to Rome. A 10 minute walk to the train station, 5/10 minute walk to the metro. There are bus stops close as well, which makes getting around very easy. A good selection of restaurants as well. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, the room itself was small, but enough space for the time you actually spend in the room. Bathroom is tight, so I don’t recommend if you are a larger person. Overall, I would stay here again for a few nights in Rome.

This was a unique boutique style property with many comforts- air conditioning- comfortable bed. Ali was one of the best hotel front desk agents we have had on our trip to date. He was welcoming and was so excited to share all of the must not miss spots around the area. We highly recommend this property if you are planning a stay to Rome. 10 minutes from the main train station ' 20+ minutes to the Colosseum and other attractions.

Excellent. My room had a beautiful view of Santa Maria Maggiore's dome. Room was nice and comfortable with a great memory foam mattress. Convenient location for walking to other sights like the above cathedral and not too far from the Colloseum and Domus Aurea

This hotel has everything you need. I felt safe staying there. Room was small and accommodations were basic, but again it was everything you need. I was able to get around the city by walking most of the time, but I did log a lot of steps in the process. The train is nearby if needed.

Hotel was along a quiet street, conveniently located near the train station. There were some cute bars located around the corner from the hotel. We found the smell within the hotel a little overwhelming (use of air fresheners, etc) and the shower to be quite small. As a note we found the location was a little out of the way of the key sights in Rome. We were often walking 30/40 minutes to key attractions with not a lot of strong transit options.

This property was close to the Termini. It was perfect for needing to walk there. The area was nice. The room was on the smaller side, but for what we needed it for (drop our things, explore the city, then come back and sleep), it was perfect. The tiny elevator was a fun surprise.
