Great location in close vicinity to the major historical sites and only a few hundred feet to the pantheon. Lots of shopping and dining options right outside the door yet quiet on 2nd floor where room is. Secure and very clean.

We hit the jackpot with this hotel. The location Was perfect and though it was bustling, it gave us the quintessential Rome experience. The room was comfortable and clean, and our view of the street was perfect (the sound deadening window was handy as the restaurants stay open late). We were sad to leave, we will certainly book this location again.

This was a great location and walkable to everything! There was so much around the area and it was easy to navigate, even to the main attractions. For two women in their early 20s I also can’t stress enough how safe we felt! This place is amazing and I’d recommend it highly to anyone.

Very clean and spacious room. Excellent location. Caveats: no front desk reception but staff is very responsive on WhatsApp; no luggage storage (you can store behind the "front desk" but anyone in the hotel has access); bars are very loud at night but typical for Rome.

Dear Charme & Chic Team, My wife and I stayed at your hotel from April 12th to 15th, as part of our honeymoon trip to Rome. While we appreciated the central location and proximity to many attractions, we unfortunately had several issues that significantly impacted our stay. Upon arrival, we were surprised to discover there was no elevator, especially after coming off a week-long cruise with two 60lb suitcases. It would have been helpful to know this in advance, as it made checking in quite difficult. Once in the room, we were disappointed by a few things. The bed was extremely firm and uncomfortable, and there was only one flat pillow per person, which led to poor sleep and waking up in pain. More concerning, however, was that the room constantly vibrated throughout the night. It was strong enough to cause items to fall off surfaces, and we barely got any rest. We’re not sure if this was an issue with just our room or the entire building. Additionally, we encountered several spiders in the room (I have photos) and were bitten multiple times by mosquitoes, even though we kept the windows closed. This made the room feel unhygienic and uncomfortable. We did attempt to mention our concerns to the staff member we saw on the first day, but we didn’t see him again during our stay and had no other way to communicate with anyone onsite. Overall, we felt very disappointed, especially as this was supposed to be a special and memorable time for us. We tried to make the most of it.

The "suite" room at the property is just a typical hotel room with its standard similar to, say, Best Western but with more stylish room decor. It's by far the best room type at Charme & Chic, convenient and spacious. Paired with the property's excellent location, it makes for a great base point for exploring Rome.

The location is great. Right by a bustling street, with access to restaurants and grocery stores. The decor looks nice, the bathrooms are clean and modern. Not disclosing clearly that accessing the property requires climbing to roughly 2nd/3rd floor through a narrow and steep staircase is however irresponsible. I've seen multiple guests struggling with carrying their luggage upstairs. Most importantly, the room design is hostile. While spacious, the "standard" rooms lack convenient seating amenities (this includes the bed, which due to headboard design is unpleasant to sit on), which makes them good only for spending the night. Additionally, while the rooms are soundproofed from the outside of the building, you can hear in detail what folks in the adjacent rooms are doing or talking about.

The rooms are not soundproof, and the shower entry doors in all the rooms are too small—too small for a regular female. Otherwise, it's a good value for the money at a great location. The fact that they don't have an elevator is not a big issue unless you have health problems.

During the day there was a noise and vibration that made everything shake, I reported this but was never given a reason for this nor was the issue ever addressed. It took them several days to respond so I was already vacated the property by the time I received a reply. There are about 50 steps leading up to the unit and no elevator, this was not clear on their website. I would not stay here again
