The property is very nice and overall we had a good one week stay. The beach is great, food is overall good and the staff were mostly great, especially the guy at the taco truck! However, there were just a few things that didn’t make it worth five stars and I’m not sure we’d return. The beach service was hit and miss. In the end we worked out if we sat in the area in front of Su Casa the guy there was excellent, anywhere else and it was terrible. Unfortunately my wife and I both got food poisoning after dining at Su Casa for lunch, not sure what it was but it definitely put a handbrake on the holiday for a day and a half. Our kids managed to avoid it thankfully. The last two nights of our stay, one of the restaurants was closed for a private event. One restaurant closed every night on top of that, meaning we only had two options (one being the breakfast /lunch/dinner option) for our last two nights which is unacceptable. Lastly and this is small. We booked the VIP car service to the airport and a staff member hitched a ride in the front seat. What made it weird was the lack of communication that this was happening.
