Don't think I have every seen staff as pleasant and willing to help. Didn't like the food....I'm gluten free and the hotel says it has gluten free options. They were out of gluten free pizza but got some in a few days...and it was delicious. The menu was poorly marked on what was gluten free and what was not. Wasn't until a waiter at the main restaurant took pity on me and would ask the chef what was gluten free. Turned out at least 2-3 items were gluten free and weren't marked as such. Food selection even without the gluten free items was sketchy at best. Honestly, if they fixed the food....I would stay there often.

For the price point, this was a great place to stay. It may not have the facilities, dining options or entertainment as a larger resort, but if you plan on spending more time off resort, this is a good spot. Pools, beach, bars and food were all sufficient but not spectacular. Easy to catch a bus, taxi or Uber to the Malecon or Marina for excursions. Deluxe room was clean and nice. It wasn't particularly large, but who spends that much time in there anyhow. Resort next door is a bit noisy later into the evening. It didn't bother us, but could imagine it bothering someone else. Overall we had a good experience. We probably wouldn't go back only for the fact we like to try new places and could more than likely find something similar or better. It is worth a visit.

Great resort

Amazing stay for us. Went as a couple and had a wonderful stay for a week. Food and drinks were amazing for an all-inclusive resort. I am celiac and they were very accommodating to my food allergy requests and every meal asked if there were any food allergies. Resort is also not very big which we enjoyed having a more intimate setting, unlike the bigger resorts in Mexico. Nightlife was somewhat lacking, but we were not very upset about this. Not as many families we saw at this resort, more couples and an older demographic, but everyone was incredibly friendly and we met many couples and groups over the course of our stay.

Amazing whale watching oceanfront views from the balconies and views of the mountains/city from the hall where you enter your room. It’s a smaller resort so very easy to get from your room to the beach or to see where your crew is hanging out even from the room. Room wasn’t renovated yet ( we knew that) but still very clean and cleaned daily without requesting. Did not have a single negative interaction with any staff. All inclusive food was great and not your typical buffet style for everything. Many pharmacies/food/stores near by as well if you want to venture out. The staff were top notch and we felt safe and like all requests were honored quickly and never like it was “too much” like many other resorts make you feel like for simple things like an extra key card or a place to store luggage before your flight home etc. They went above and beyond and we will be back.
