The staff were INCREDIBLE, really friendly, knowledgeable and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Hotel room had minor issues - our balcony facing works, no slippers / robes until we asked for them, and all room amenities (eg mugs, glasses etc) only set up for two instead of three people until we had to call up for them. Great pool that’s open 24 hours a day and we can use the beach facilities of the other Hyatt 5min walk away. I would absolutely stay here again

My phone disappeared from my room i left it charging when i came back it was gone and i called the front desk and they didn't do anything about it on the deposit of $5000 that they changed me wich is fine they do it everywhere but they told me that they would keeb $1500 and they only gave back $3000 they didn't say why very disappointed with my stay

There are 2 Hyatt’s close by. One more on the beech and the other is not. Photos make it hard to tell difference. The one we were on was above the shopping mall on main pedestrian thrufare and without dining etc. Has a nice large pool deck. Playa del Carmen has become a night time party hub and shopping place. If that is what you want you will enjoy and if not don’t bother visiting.
