Noisy and charged credit card when should have.

It was 1 night. There was very noisy people in the room across the corridor. Sounded like they were having a party. I called reception and then they turned the music down. When I checked out the computer was down and I ended up getting charged the deposit which should have been returned. It took for me to claim it back from my credit card. Multiple phone calls and emails. This shouldn’t have happened. Always make sure you have a checkout bill. I’m very disappointed with Sonesta.

We only stayed one night but we enjoyed it. Nice hotel. If you need to get groceries, just walk to Publix across the street. We recommend this hotel.

Check in was easy and fast. The issue came after we got to the room. I booked 1 king bed room and was given 2 queen so I went back downstairs to get switched to the correct room. When I got back to the front desk to clear up the mix up, I was informed that my reservation had been changed by the hotel because they had no more king beds. When I asked why I was not informed beforehand so I could have made other arrangements, I was told that when the room booked are sold out, they automatically switch you rooms without notice. I feel that this is incredibly underhanded because what I received was not what Ipaid for. When I had no choice but to accept what I was given and go back to the room, my wife had found a razor guard still in the shower (from the previous resident) and also a hair wad wrapped around a hair tie on the middle of the bathroom floor. I've stayed at this hotel 1 week out of every 3 months for the last 4 years, even in the resent for work and I'm not sure if they got a new cleaning staff or what, but this room was gross as if the bed was made and they moved on to the next. The next morning, upon check out, cleaning staff was leaning on her cart texting and talking on her phone as 2 dead roaches were literally 2 feet from her cart. Between the room switch without notice, lack of room cleanliness, and Laxidasical staff, this will most likely be my last stay here. Dont know how it went down so quickly.

I had another negative experience staying at that hotel. Some of the people at the front desk are very rude. One tall man for example, hung up on me twice during phone conversations just trying to get service. How can someone be so incompetent? The man has very poor phone manners. I requested a room change with two beds to accommodate my family which became a nightmare. I was transferred to a room 2 bed that wasn’t clean. There was human hair in the bathtub and trash on the counter. When I protested and requested to move back to the room I was originally, and a man told me that wasn’t possible blah blah blah blah…. Some workers from housekeeping were given me dirty look in the hallways/breakfast area as everything seemed to become so dramatic, because management revealed my name to the workers as the guest who complained about poor service. That was very unprofessional.

Firstly Room was allocated on level 1 whichhad soiled smell, thereafter we realised cockroachs are roaming around the bed!! After complaining room was changed to level 3, which was better. I didn’t felt value for the money I paid. It was not cheap booking, secondly hotel charged USD5 per night for parking, I don’t recollect if this was mentioned at the time of booking.
