The Inn at Penn is under construction with the front of the building completely shut down. And full banging starts early. This was not mentioned anywhere. Also, we were there because my son was at CHOP for emergency surgery. We booked for 4 nights through Expedia and end up only staying 2 nights. Expedia refused to reimburse for the unused nights. The venue said had I booked directly they would have reimbursed. It was a terrible experience and we will not be staying at the inn at Penn in the future. I hope this helps those families who are in Philadelphia for the great healthcare.

The Inn is under renovation. The listed entrance is closed, you will need to enter from another street. The ground floor is populated by homeless people sheltering from the cold and workman along with the dust and dirt from construction. Internal signage is occasionally misleading and contradictory. Construction noise was kept to daytime hours, and was not a significant issue. The dust however, was omnipresent and circulated through the heating vents. Staffing is minimal, probably because the hotel is fairly empty. They are doing their best to make something of a difficult situation. There were many issues with internet access and TV. The staff sent to address these issues were pleasant and helpful, but clearly did not know much about either. Internet access was eventually accomplished with external tech support, TV access by "fiddling" until sufficient experience exposed one way to get a picture, which could not be repeated. I figured it out eventually by empirical experimentation. I doubt the Maintenance staff person knows the instructions still. While the staff is pleasant and somewhat helpful, they are trying to make the best of a difficult situation. I would get a different hotel until the renovation is complete.

The hotel is a nice Hilton property but not particularly luxurious. It is very convenient to campus. There is some street parking thought it gets expensive if you try to reload. The main issue is that it’s under construction so the front entry is closed and there’s construction noise in the library. There is a temporary reception on the third floor.

The hotel is nice but very dated. It was expensive for the age. They could have such a nice lobby bar but the lack of a double weather door significantly impacts the ability to enjoy it. I think the house keeping is below regular standards. We had to ask for soap. Toilet paper and coffee was never refreshed properly. The staff were great. The hotel was chosen for me but it wouldn’t be my first choice in the area again.

This hotel has such a lovely atmosphere. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. I had everything I needed for a short stay. I loved that this hotel is walkable to many things on Penn's campus. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I will be staying here many more times as I travel to Philadelphia for grad school over the next few years.

I was disappointed in my stay. After finally locating the entrance , we were met with a very rude staff member who appeared annoyed that we needed help finding the front desk.. 2 elevators and 4 turns away. The shower curtain was ripped and the black out curtains were useless. The housekeeper we met on Friday was so friendly and helpful. We probably wont stay there on our next visit.

Refrigerator was left with all Kinds of food when I went to place our leftovers in Very uncharacteristic of a Hilton left alone Inn at Penn - my mother is having surgery to remove cancer and I wanted to treat her to the nicest hotel in town and I chose here - it should be clean - they gave us 15,000 points b/c I am A member but I paid 200+ for this room
