The staff was excellent, we had a problem with our room and we were given a upgrade. The food was great and the night shows were fabulous. We loved the pool area and the fire pit and comfortable seating.. Thank you ... we'll definitely come back to stay again soon.

This hotel is an iconic landmark. Desi and Lucy Arnaz put a lot into this place. If you are a nostalgia fan you will love this place. Sadly the amenities have not caught up to the times. The room was big with a feel of being part of the rat pack. The a/c was a throwback too. The shower was tight and once i got over the drastic changes of water temperature I got the feeling of being back at grandmas house. You knew exactly when someone flushed the toilet. The place had only one elevator making it very inconvenient if your room was in the back of the hotel. Even though I parked in the back I had to walk past my room to the front lobby, up the elevator, and then walk all the to the back of the hotel. Another throwback aesthetic of this place was the blatant disregard of our DO NOT DISTURB sign on our room by house keeping. The sound of door pounding and “house keeping!!!” being yelled into my room reminded me of the good ol days in bootcamp. Overall our experience felt like we traveled back in time. The kicker is the prices here are the only modern thing it has going for it.

Yes, this hotel apparently had used some kind of industrial solvent to clean the carpet in our room. When the sliding glass door was closed, the fumes were really bad. The air conditioner or heating did not help as it just recirculated the air. I got sick and now have chemically induced bronchial pneumonia after two days there.

First of all, the staff were all great! It's all downhill from there. Luggage carts were in horrible shape. One of the elevators was out of order for our whole stay. The hallways were dirty and all the linens and towels were thrown outside of the rooms onto the hallway floors. There was a lot of buckling on the floor vinyl and where there was carpet there were stains and open seams in places. I saw a room service tray sit on the floor for at least a day (it was still there when we checked out.) The room itself wasn't too bad other than peeling wallpaper, the worst shower curtain that did nothing to keep water in the shower and no shampoo in the dispenser. The balcony was so narrow, there wasn't room for a chair to sit outside. The heater was so loud, we had to turn it off to sleep. Our first room had lukewarm water in the shower and we had to change rooms. One of the maintenance men told me they had a problem with hot water getting to that side of the hotel. There was no bell assistance. The fitness center had no towels, no trash can and no sanitizer to clean the machines before or after use. We enjoyed sitting poolside with excellent piped in music, but there is a lot of disrepair. Friction tape around the spa was peeling so bad that I was worried some of the patrons may trip on it. The pipe barriers were rusted so bad that there were huge holes and severe staining on the concrete beneath them. Exterior doors were all open and didn't require a key/card to enter.

Everything was just fine! Nothing to write home about. My room was directly above the dumpster, which they emptied as I was checking in. The entire hall outside of the rooms smelled of the dumpster. The ice machine on my floor was broken; the elevator was out of service, and the kicker was when I tried to go to the hot tub in the evening, and I visibly watched an employee dumping Clorox bleach into the hot tub using no measurements. The staff was nice and the room was clean, but it just seemed as though they were just letting the place fall apart.

Staff were unfriendly and incompetent!! really bad, the worst worst was our Room was poorly maintained/ dirty with broken doors and thin wall! I can hear so clearly what the next door guests conversations!! lol.. worst part was they were arguing & banging doors, screaming for hours at 3-4AM!!! MAD!!! The room smelled weird, and the TV doesn’t have basic apps like Netflix or YouTube. We asked twice to have the phone replaced because it didn’t work, and they never fixed it. Out of the 4 days we stayed, housekeeping only came once after we requested it twice at the front desk and they arrived about 4 hours later. There are no entertainment areas besides the pool, and the common outdoor spaces are very small. On top of that, they charge $25 per day for parking. There are no nearby shops, cafés, or restaurants within walking distance. I wouldn’t recommend this place for vacations. It feels more like a hotel meant for a one-night stay, not for an actual trip.

There was a strong old/musty smell throughout the hotel, and I stayed on the second floor. The footsteps from guests walking on the third floor were extremely loud and very disturbing. It was also very cold, so I turned on the heater, but it blew out a strong dusty smell and an unpleasant odor, which made the situation even worse.

We have stayed here before..we Love the history of the place, the Decor, the "Old Hollywood" vibe, and the location can't be beat. We were here for the American Exress PGA Tournament. The place is clean, comfortable, and a great value for the money!
