We stayed on the first floor not far from the main entrance and were baffled by how poor the condition of the room was. It smelled like stale cigarettes, the bathroom was in terrible shape, the walls were peeling and the A/C did not work. That being said, I have stayed on the second floor farther away from the main e trance and didn’t experience any of this. Overall still shocked that a big name brand such as travelodge would have such poor condition rooms available.

Rooms were not great. Air conditioning broke the second day of my stay. They had me change rooms, unfortunately this meant going from a nice big king bed that (at one point) had a great working modern AC to an uncomfortable queen that had an AC unit that looked and ran like it was from the 90s. New room was a bit musty, had dead flies on the window sill and also had some sort of plastic covering the smoke detector that looked like it was put there for painting or a previous guest put it their so that they could smoke in the room. I’m not happy with my stay at all.

Unacceptable to rent the room given on checkin.

Pleasant in checkin. To room. Wow I was in disbelief. Floors dirty. Bathroom half cleaned. Furniture broken with large piece broken front drawer dresser. Cigarette burns in carpet and curtains. Blackout curtain terrible shape rips holes. Went to desk and reported this and asked for another room and to inspect it. Second room was much better. When returning to check in desk I told this staff member that this room should not be rented to anyone in that condition. She Did not say anything or apologized for this. It was hard to get that room out of our heads. Complete disbelief about that experience.

It's a place to lay your head. No bells or whistles. Cheaper than staying right in Toronto. Everything smelled like lemon bar soap, the halls, the room, the lobby. Curtains were riped so had to use a hair clip to keep them shut for the night. Carpets have not been replaced, in what seems like, a decade. So many stains in the hallways. Clean linens and towles. Staffed were friendly. Breakfast included at the restaurant.
