The design of the lobby and restaurant was attractive, the room was clean and well designed. The window shades were "blackout" and the room very quiet and comfortable. Staff was helpful. The location was great-a short walk to trains. The neighborhood was quiet and clean with convenience stores, grocery stores and a laundromat nearby.

Great stay - well handy for the Metro

Amazing hotel . Check in was easy. I liked the staff - very friendly. We were give 2 x 500 yen vouchers just because we didn’t need our room being serviced in our 3 day stay . Bought up 2 free drinks😊 The rooms were lovely and far more spacious than all our other hotels. Nice roof terrace.

The Lively is a really funky hotel in Hommachi - ideally located on intersecting metro lines which makes getting around the city really easy. We arrived early and were able to store our bags and hang out in the many communal areas and enjoy free coffee while we waited for our room to be ready. The room was super comfortable and the amenities bar was great if you run out of toothpaste or need cotton buds etc. Breakfast was very tasty but was limited in comparison to other places we stayed in Japan - it isn’t a buffet and you can only have a limited amount of food. The free beer is a nice touch in the evenings. Overall a great stay.

Property had the potential to be nicer. Rooms were fine but very minimal amenities. You are allowed to choose needed amenities near the reception desk but only two items. They prefer not to clean your room. They offer a 500 yen voucher at check in if you agree to not have your room cleaned, only refresh your towels. The voucher is for the restaurant or amenities to purchase. I chose to have our two rooms cleaned instead but they ended up only cleaning one of them. Breakfast selection was very limited and a bit odd. Overall, customer service was the main issue. Staff is rude and not very knowledgeable.

The theatre rooms were so unique with their projection tvs and folding beds. They had some unique features like complimentary cafe and free late afternoon beer. Great vibe! Would definitely recommend.

The hotel was good. It felt like a lot of effort was put into making the hotel very reliant on technology, i.e., there’s a QR code for that. Instead of talking you through the amenities, you were asked to watch a video. It was a good hotel for the one day we had there and its proximity to the train station.

A wonderful hotel outside the mayhem of Dontonbori but within easy walking distance. A number of train stations very close by also. The hotel was nice and room was spacious.

A mixed review of this hotel. The check in experience was somewhat confusing. The person checking us in told us that the hotel has 2 different kinds of cleaning service - a full service and an “eco” service where only the towels are changed. At no point were we asked which service we wanted, so we assumed we can decide each day (I should add that the person checking us in was not Japanese, so less change of potential communication issues). Lastly we were given some 500 yen vouchers to spend in the hotel. We wanted the full cleaning service, so the next morning we left the “please make up my room” sign on the door. When we got back late in the afternoon we discovered that our room had not been cleaned. When checking with reception, we were told we had chosen the “eco” cleaning option on check in. This was not true, we were never asked to choose between the 2 options on check in, it seems that an assumption was made on our behalf. Anyway, we had the cleaning option changed and on subsequent days our room was cleaned (sort of, see later comments). Cons of this hotel: - There is no safe in the room. At the price they are charging, there should be a safe. - We stayed on level 8, but the view from our room was that of air conditioning units on a neighbouring roof - not very scenic. - The “full” cleaning service is not very good and too basic.
