Nice rooms, nice area, walking distance to Dotonburi shopping area and Namba Station. Far enough away from the crowds, and still able to walk to shop, dine, and train station. Stayed here for 2 nights to shop, Universal Studios, and Osaka Aquarium. It is a high rise hotel with name at top, so you can see your hotel from a distance when you're walking back to make it easier to find. A good mixture of tourists from out of and within the country. This is not a 90% cheap rude tourist hotel.

Hotel is in a very convenient location. From Shin-Osaka Station we took the Midosuji Line straight to Namba Station. Then all we had to do was exit the station and the hotel was right above us! Underneath was also a huge grocery store, pharmacy, Starbucks, McDonalds and a ton of food stalls. Dotonbori is approximately 7-8 walk and Namba Parks is approximately 15-18 minute walk in the opposite direction. We didn’t have much interaction with the hotel staff but the check-in/check-out process was very quick, our room and facilities were also very clean. There’s also hotel security on property at the entrances and walking around so it feels quite secure. Overall, great location and decent size room. We will definitely return for our next trip!

Hotel Monterey Grasmere Osaka feels surprisingly luxurious for the price—grand, elegant, and far more upscale than expected. The hotel is extremely convenient to Namba Station, with direct access through a vast network of underground walkways that makes getting around Osaka effortless. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the classic European-inspired design adds to the sense of staying somewhere special. Staff were friendly and helpful, and views from the higher floors are excellent. Overall, this is a beautifully appointed and very reasonably priced hotel that serves as an outstanding base for exploring Osaka.

The desk staff were courteous and accommodating - spent time to change the two rooms so we were close together. You had to take two elevators to get to the room as the hotel is on the 22nd floor. Great location close to transit and the food store on the lower level was excellent. The room was clean and towels changed daily.

We first stayed here 10 years ago. Hotel has deteriorated since then. Our room was not cleaned well and often dusty, wwhich affected my asthmatic condition. I coughed endlessly whenevr I entered the room. The only advantage was that the hotel is connected to the huge underground walkway that took us to the main Namba train lines as well as to Dotonburi. But I think there are other hotels connected too. Just have to find them.
