Had a great stay at the bspk hotel. The location was excellent - only a couple of blocks from the Dotonbori area. The room was the classic compact size, but quite efficient. The bathroom was also typical for these compact hotels (step up, everything very cosy). Shower strength was excellent. Bed was very comfortable. A/C worked great. Good sized fridge for keeping drinks closed. Room on the 9th floor was very quiet. New towels delivered daily, even without housekeeping. The 3 washer/dryers get a bit busy.

We mostly used it as a hub while jumping around between Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara but it was perfect. It was only a 5 minute walk to a subway station, and across the street from a 24 hour 7/11

We paid for a hollywood twin room which does not what it looks at all from the photos. It says it had “climate controlled aircon” which was rubbish as it was an old remote control. They gave us 2 keycards, 1 we needed to keep the aircon running so we only had 1! And they charge for an extra!! The cups we had coffee on werent clean. There were 3 (8yo son with us) of us they provided 2 towels and when I ask for another they said to come down as they dont deliver anything to your room! Worst part, we arrived midday knowing fully we had 3 hrs before check in so we waited. At 2:55 the receptionist wouldnt check us in and wait til 3:00pm! Then a group of other guests came and we ended up at the end of that long line! The front desk staff are just not helpful at all. I guess you get what you pay for and next time I would rather pay for better service!! Never again in this hotel.

The hotel is a 10 min walk from the train station. Really close to Shinshaibashi shopping centre and Dotunbori is about 15 to 20 min walk. Room is quite small, we booked a non-smoking room however there's some tinge of smoke smell inside.

The rooms are small as expected but dust around air vent and on the wall surrounding. Thick dust on edge of side table, stains on soap bottle. No tea bag in room (this is Japan!) wall paper is peeling off, in general lots of wear and tear for a relatively new looking hotel throughout.
