Cute and clean boutique hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Good size rooms (King-Hallway). Some beautiful original architectural features, like the doors. Appreciate the nice loft and patio spaces. Parking is a bit different, as there's a padlock, but the staff can help and it's not difficult. I appreciate the lot is super close and the fence looks well protected. Book your parking spot in advance; it's a smaller lot. There's no elevator, but it's a quick flight of stairs. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to most.

My sister and I had a fantastic stay! The hotel is in a very convenient location; it's unique and has a lot of personality. The room was clean and well-appointed, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The staff were so helpful and friendly, especially Mere, Jenny, and a third kind woman whose name I didn't catch, who helped us with our luggage. The private parking lot across the street was very helpful. The only small bummer was that the shower did not have the best water pressure. Still, we would definitely stay here again. *Note* this hotel has no elevator, so don't bring super heavy luggage unless you're really strong.

The room I was in had no windows, was super hot when I got inside and had hair around the sink, shower, on the bed and desk. It was not cleaned well, or at all in some places. There was also smears of something on the mirror and other hair stuck to it.

The staircase you take upstairs was the first sign this was a cool and quirky kinda spot. The vibe is just very chill and exactly what I was looking for after a long day of shenanigans with family and friends. Im a very easy going person and for me this kind of place was great as It was adjacent to a lot of places. The common/game room is really cool, made just chilling after the day nice. The room was bigger than I expected, King Bed was comfy, shower had great water pressure but if you're a tall person like me (6'5) you'll have to bend a lil to get your head but overallI hope to come back and stay again next time im in Oakland. Also - Rooms have a larger mini-fridge so I was able to hit the convenience store on my way and keep larger sized drinks in it without issue. Only complaint I have is that in my room the toilet was a bit too close to the wall (again tall guy problems) but overall a solid place to stay.

Very nice boutique style hotel in the heart of Downtown Oakland. Near Lake Merritt along with countless restaurants, shops, and public transport. The room was cute, plush and comfortable with new linens, courtyard was super cute. Staff was friendly and even provided pre-check in which was seamless. Would definitely stay again!

This is in a rough part of town but all of Oakland is pretty terrible nowadays. You’ll definitely want to request parking if you have your own vehicle there’s only a limited number of spaces and if you have a large truck like mine, you’re gonna be squeezed in there like sardines, but as far as general appearance, comfort and kindness of the staff, it was excellent for an overnight.
