The front desk, housekeeping and maintenance people are all exceptional. The property is clean, and the rooms are quite spacious. My only recommendation is that the property get an update. New paint, carpet, furniture and appliances. Also, there aren't enough sockets for phone charging, and the rooms could use more/brighter lighting.

The area is Quiet and very comfortable but the staff does not have customer service. They made me wait. About 15 minutes until I was able to get checked in because they were working on something else. Instead of helping the customer hotel does need to get remodeled and get updated. There is some stuff that shouldn’t be looking as dingyas it did.

ok, convenient

The staff was friendly, but the carpets throughout the property are filthy. We just did not feel comfortable. Proximity is great, as South Shore mall is across the street as well as the beach.

I booked my trip a month in advance. Excited about the price and the location. Two days before I read the reviews. I wanted to cancel. Expected the worse. It was more good than bad. Thanks for the advice to take flip flops, because the carpet was disgusting. They should remove the carpet in the whole hotel. The curtain next to the kitchenette was also in bad shape . However there was a kitchenette. I took a pot, pan, utensils, we were set. I even brought a little sponge & soap. If you are missing anything, there is a shopping center across the street. I bought a nice cutting board. It’s located a block away from the beach. My husband and I took some snacks and watched the sunset. It was beautiful. The place was quiet. Every once in a while I would get a weird smell , Also the smell of pot. We felt safe. Never had breakfast. Didn’t need to since I had everything I needed in my room. We had a room with a view of the pool. It was nice but it would have been better with comfortable chairs. The ones they had were hard dining wood chairs. It never got hot enough to go to the pool. We enjoyed watching the ducks. We would definitely stay here again. Bring what makes you comfortable.

This property was one block from the beach, across the street from a high end shopping center, backed up to a lagoon, and everything was easily accessible to it, however, instead of taking advantage of this, the property owners have put zero effort into updating. When we arrived, we were told our room was on the second floor. We were staying for a week and had a fair amount luggage. There was no elevator. We had to schelp our things up and down the stairs. The carpet was probably the original. And filthy.The beds were hard. The lighting was inadequate. The wall plugs heated up our electronics. There was no ice. The bathroom floor was patched with different tile near the tub. The caulking was chipped. The tub was pink.That means that tub has been in that room for at least 65 years! I grew up in Alameda and I’m 75 years old. I remember this same motel back then. It really seems as if management has a gold mine if they would just renovate.

The list of complaints is long.. we booked two queens on first floor for our 91 year old mother and they tried to give us a single bed room on the 2nd floor, no elevator. Our room smelled so badly of dog urine we could not breath or sleep, we had to call the police at 1:45am that first night due to what I assume to be permanent tenants fighting and throwing each other against walls. We checked out the next day and did not stay the 2nd night. I would like a refund.
