The house was great, exactly as advertised. It felt safe and it was very clean. Great water pressure. It was perfect for our family. However, the initial key was NOT where it was stated - it was on the left and not the right, causing us frustration in the attempt at all three lock boxes at the gate. Also, the front door was FRUSTRATING, the buttons “stuck” or something and so it was frustrating to lock and unlock every time we came and went. Also, the air conditioner was loud and not in great working order. One picky thing, when you advertise for “sleeps 6” and know 6 are coming it is frustrating not to stock the bathroom with a towel for each person. 2 towels in each bathroom is obviously not sufficient. The bath mat in the en-suite has big white stains on it so we didn’t use it. It did not match the otherwise clean aesthetic of the bathroom.

The volume button didn’t work on the remote. The master shower was a bit odd. Normally you would have access to turn it on from outside of the shower. For this one, you have to get in to turn it on. Other than the address not being correct, overall it was pretty nice.

Property: Lovely home. Clean, modern, and beautifully decorated. Great kitchen-fully stocked. Easy access to SF. The garage door was broken by the previous guest so we had to park on the street. Owner said it would be fixed after the weekend, but it wasn't (probably due to holiday week) Fortunately, we had no issues with our car.Check in: The wrong address was sent in the email, so we ended up trying to get in another house. :( Neighborhood: Seemed safe enough, but the unit behind us was broken into while we were there, which was unnerving. Homeless person pooped on the bedroom window sill during break in. (can't make this stuff up!)Host: Host accommodated an early check-in, which was much appreciated. But, the rest of the week, he was difficult to get a hold of both through the app and by phone/text.We had a power outage and couldn't reach him for several hours, but once he responded, he came directly to the house and fixed the issue.Not a bad stay but will probably choose another property next time.

What a great spot! Absolutely beautiful apartment. Looked and felt brand new. Excellent communication with the host, and we also felt super safe there. The only hiccup I had was with the parking. The security gate to get into the garage is extremely narrow. I was as careful as I could be entering and exiting the gate and still managed to bump the gate opening sensor, punctured a tire and had to pay the host to repair it. I take full responsibility, the host warned m about the narrowness of the gate, but I still messed up. Be careful with this detail, and you’ll have an absolutely perfect stay!!’

The house is generally clean but the shared toilet does not flush well, paper towels are just half used by the previous renters and when I texted the owner if they can provide paper towels, he did not answer back, wifi is not working so we have to call the owner. The good thing is the place is nearby shops and very convenient. Still i can recommend due to its cleanliness.

Upon arrival at 8:30pm the home wasn’t clean or ready for new guests. There was a scheduling conflict with another party. Issue was resolved and we were told we’d get a refund for our first nights stay. That refund has yet to happen. Frustrating! Home is cute and decorated nicely. Couch is small and not very enjoyable to sit on to watch movies.

Wrong address in the listing. Had to knock on the neighbors door to ask.Host forgot to send the check-in instructions and we almost got locked out at night.Shower didn't drain and we're only half glass covered so the whole floor gets drenched.Had to ask the host everyday on where things are located and how things worked. No messages or instructions.Sketchy neighborhood.Interior looked clean though

Convenient location, clean place, tight parking

The home had plenty of space for our family of 5, and it was updated nicely. Beds were comfy and the owner was easy to contact. The only negative was parking--there is a garage and gated driveway on the property, but other residents often parked in front of the gate, making it impossible for us to park. On multiple occasions we knocked on neighbors' doors until we found someone who could move the cars. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay, and in spite of that, we would stay here again.

The house was new and modern however there were several issues for me. The house is very close to neighbors/thin walls, the gate leading to the garage often got stuck, there are cameras outside and in the garage that the host failed to mention and the furniture was not in the best condition. Also, the bedrooms and beds are small. The house was aesthetically pleasing, but I would not stay again.

It was a nice and pretty spacious place for 3 people. Had issues with the house, and was in communication with the owner, who tried to work something out. While I appreciated the effort, the solution he offered did not meet my needs. The owner was very accommodating and understanding. I was able to receive a partial refund, agreed upon with the owner, however, the VRBO system and customer service made things complicated. I had more issues with the VRBO customer service than the issue itself because the communication via chat kept disconnecting, it took me a long time to talk to someone about receiving my refund and its appropriate amount. They kept switching staff and sometimes making it difficult to follow certain emails because it would appear as scams. I was finally able to get things resolved and the owner was still in communication when I was asking for clarification on his end, even after the booking reservation was considered closed. Thank you for your timely responses.

Memorial service trip

The Urban Oasis served as the perfect home base for a Bay Area memorial service our party hosted to honor two cherished loved ones. The accommodations are immaculate and the beds are comfy. The location is great. The host was responsive when we had an issue figuring out how to get inside the gate. Highly recommended!

Spacious, clean, well stocked and inviting

My girlfriends and I wanted to visit our college pals in Berkeley but really did not want to stay in a hotel. We found a home that had 3 rooms, a spacious kitchen and living room. I was impressed at how well lit and clean it was. My friends loved the modern features and amenities. Honestly, we all said we wished we could stay longer to really utilize the place we got. We could have easily cooked meals and invited our friends to visit us. The location is great too as our friends lived within 10-20 minutes and we met at the nearby shopping plaza that had a movie theater, Barnes and Noble, shops and restaurants. This place is a gem and the location is great. None of us drove and relied on walking in the day time and Lyft in the evening when we walked to watch a movie and dined at restaurants. This place also has a garage if you do have a car. There is a washer and dryer in the garage too. As mentioned, were impressed and will book again when we come back to the Bay. This place is also great for families planning to visit and explore this area. It's a quiet street and we felt safe walking around this area.

Quiet stay in Oakland

This was a great space for a small group of friends. Easy to get into and out, quiet neighborhood and added bonus, it was a short walk to Target for those last minute items we needed.
