This is a very sweet little spot on the upper west side. It’s one block to the subway, so it’s very easy to utilize public transportation. It’s quiet and nicely appointed. There are plenty of neighborhood, restaurants, including in the building : Nice Marin. If you want to be uptown, this gives you the feel of being in a real residential neighborhood. I would return.

The staff was extremely nice. The decor needs updating, but has an overall old European flare. The rooms were extremely drafty, and I can’t say that the heat got up to whatever we set it at.

It is a nice hotel but a bit further than we thought to get to the places we wanted to visit. For younger people the subway is convenient but we would not be able to manage it at our age. The beds were extremely comfortable.

Do not book a Junior Suite. There is nowhere to sit in the “sitting area” and there is no mini fridge. There is nothing “suite” about it. It’s a scam markup for a slightly larger room with no additional amenities. Do not sleep in room 201. It sounds like the boiler room with constant noises at night. Also, there was a long hair in my shower. I’m a solo man. It wasn’t my hair. Honestly, stay away
