Needs some work but overall ok

Hotel is conveniently located and rooms are spacious for NY. However there were lots of little issues: fridge didn’t work, no body wash, no coffee cups, shower head was broken etc. Also pool was supposed to open sunrise to sunset and it only opened 9-4pm. Overall it’s good value for NY though and with a little more care and detail it could be very nice. Gym is 24x7 which was nice and staff were all very friendly and helpful.

We thought it was such a find until…

Generally good, EXCEPT that very loud music from the upstairs night club (7 floors away!) made it near-impossible to sleep on a Friday night. Did not seem to be an issue during the week, and I’m sure some rooms are more exposed than others based on their location within the building. But it really changed our experience for the worse.

The customer service was outstanding. Smiles from the minute I walked in to when I left. Super friendly sweet staff. My room was perfect. Cool functioning AC. No weird smells. I was on the 9th floor. Great views. Early check in plus king size bed upgrade. Slept like a princess. Counter was a bit dusty but no biggie bought some disinfectant wipes at the near cvs my usual stop when at a hotel. Spent my birthday in peace. My room, the location served its purpose. Solo female traveler. Felt safe to wander around the neighborhood, to china town and back. Tip: cleaning lady could be a little more considerate when cleaning by not letting the door slam. Woke me up a couple of times. She was doing her job. Excellent might I add. Would definitely book here again.

Hotel is in a great spot for Bars and partying but if you need a quiet night of sleep I would suggest a different neighborhood. The pool area is neat and has a great view. Overall I had a good stay, however the lack of refrigerator space and a microwave for leftovers was a bit of a bummer, this is pretty standard at most 2 star hotels let alone a 4 star.

Sound proving is poor, from the 10th floor we can hear the people at the street and the club in the 15th floor or the hotel. Very hard to sleep as the parties go very late

We checked in on Thursday- planned to stay until Sunday, went upstairs to our and immediately walked back downstairs and checked out. SO DIRTY there were dirty handprints all over the doors, the dresser and counters had a film, there was mold / mildew in the showers. This is NOT a 4star hotel. On top of that, be aware of the $150 PER NIGHT fee for incidentals and also the $75 amenities fee PER DAY that I was told “covers WiFi and coffee along with a $10 credit for scooters” There’s a roof top pool but it’s always closed - assuming to accommodate the bar. I visit NY often and stayed all over the city- this is by far the WORST experience we have ever had. A complete waste of money since staff was rude and of course it’s “no refunds”- we will be disputing with Expedia and our credit cards! Go stay at the Hyatt Herald, we had a fantastic stay there.

Absolutely loved this hotel especially the staff! Everyone was extremely friendly! Great views of the city, great pool area and sitting area! I wish the pool was open later than 5pm. The only thing that kept me from 5 stars is our room was loud because of the club below… we were warned about this ahead of time but just so you know you can definitely hear it and the room needed some repairs there was a crack in the shower and the floor was warped like there was a water leak but it was clean!

If you want to use the pool on weekends you have to pay 75 dollars and they close it at 5 pm, a hidden charge that they don't tell you when you make the reservation. The staff is not friendly. During check-in, they don't explain how the hotel works and don't give any additional information. The area is not safe and clean.

Quiet. Hallways could use a refresh. Staff nice but did not seem inclined to go out of way to help. Garage parking right next door was very convenient but no in/out privileges.
