Clean, quiet, great marathon morning breakfast spread. The rooms were small but modern and nice. My only complaint was how hot the room was, I could not turn down the thermostat. My fault for not contacting front desk.

Staff couldn’t have been kinder, but the elevators are having a very hard time reading key cards for all guest. And I couldn’t get my room colder than 75° the first night eventually, I realized I had to move the curtains off of the intake for the heater/air conditioner. But they didn’t know that was the problem.

The bathroom was clean. The sheets in the room appeared scuffed and dirty around the edges, probably from rubbing against the bed frame. The air conditioning did not cool the room to the selected temperature. The room was very dark. The hotel is convenient to the Times Square area and Columbus / Central Park.

The location was perfect for NYC marathon and room made up very well for our second night. Elevator/room keys a bit of a pain to use 100% well. Many kept having problems accessing their floors. Dusting could be improved for the not so obvious surfaces of the room. Lastly…placing a desk and chair against a bed makes it practically impossible to use? And a mini fridge UNDER that desk? Tiny room layouts need work.

The staff at the Ameritania Hotel was exceptional! From the bell man, the front desk and also room service. The front desk staff, Derrick was so helpful and friendly. I liked the location, it was close enough to enjoy a walk and see sights like Central Park. There is a lot of food options and cool bars around. I would highly recommend this stay.

The plastic keys for the elevator frequently did not work. My husband had to get a new key 4 times in a 2 night stay. Also the drawers in room 1222 did not stay shut, creating an obstacle especially during the night. The closet needs a lightbulb. Hotel location is great and staff was pleasant. Room was quiet.

The room we got was too small (recepcionist warned us about it, but explained that it was the only available at that moment). He was really gentle by the way. The room as well as the bathroom seemed renovated. The location is perfect if you want to stay near Times Square and famous theaters, Central Park, etc.
