Property is conveniently located close to downtown and the French Quarter. However, the area is not the best and the customer service was lacking from check in to check out. It’s priced correctly and has free parking, which was a plus. Just a place to sleep, no bells, no whistles, just that!

This property in its main photos looks nice until you realize they've only kept up the front desk area. The excuse "it's an old building" should not cover, a pulled fire alarm on the 3rd floor that never triggered an alarm and remained in the pulled position our entire stay. Loose lighting wires on and around the pool, hotel doors with peeling wood not just paint, no rod in the "closet space" to actually use it, cleaning/refreshing staff that unless you speak Spanish, will not even attempt to provide fresh towels or new toilet paper. Trash that isn't emptied and rooms that aren't made while away for the day. Staff at all hours vanished for extended periods during their shifts with numerous guests asking "have you seen them by chance", the rooms had no phones and from glimpses only some rooms (not ours) had alarm clocks or fridges and the property has only one microwave for All the guests in an outside vending machine room that also was not stocked (bar one machine at the end of our stay) with a non-functioning change machine and vending machines that beyond being empty did not accept anything but ones despite claiming to accept higher. As well, drunk and drugged up homeless were allowed to hang around the property, super fun. When we attempted to ask for a refund we got told "leave by 11am (it was 9:32am) and we'll refund today and the rest of your original days after today" we were across the country from our home with nowhere to go, so we got bullied into staying....

Our room was clean, we had hot water, tv worked, sheets looked clean, only issue we had was the door not locking upon arrival and had to have staff fix for us, the door to the room was a bit busted but we got it to lock. On check in day the 1st room they put us in had a busted tv and door wouldn't lock. The neighborhood was a little sketchy at times, there's an assisted living complex across the street and saw some interesting characters on the walk to the bus but they didnt bother us. The staff are nice and try to help as much as they can. The facility overall needs more maintenance and care but its fine for a short stay.

We choose this hotel for a Mardi Gras stay because of the reasonable cost and it is is not in a busy area but not far from Bourbon st. The lobby and rooms have had recent remodels. The doors and stairs all need upgrades yet and the pool was not user ready. Staff was very nice and overall we had a pleasant stay.

The hotel is old and smells like cigarettes. The elevator feels like it’s going to fall apart! The area the hotel is in is not the best. In general the inside of the hotel except the lobby is just run down!
