Two simple things would improve the stay by a 1000%. 1) Hire a porter so you don't have to drag your luggage a mile while trying to find your room. 2) Put a darn coffee maker in the room so when it's freezing cold and raining you don't have to walk to the lobby for lame coffee with horrible creamer. That should be a given actually. The very friendly staff prevented this from being two stars.

I asked for a handicap accessible room and the room wasnt like the pictures suggested with the low walkin shower. It was a regular bath tub with rails and you had to climb over the tub to get in it. On top of that the bed was to high off the floor. The staff was really nice. The breakfast was really expensive but it wasn't good at all, I stayed three nights and tried the breakfast once it wasn't edible. On top of all of this the room i was in was very loud. It was next to the staff closet on the second floor, and when i would leave sometimes the staff door would block my room door i would have to push it closed. The only reason im giving a two star is because the room was clean and the staff was nice. I couldn't get a refund on anything because of expedia.

We really enjoyed staying at Maison St. Charles. It’s a great location, very walkable to both the Garden District and CBD neighborhoods. Even the French Quarter is not that far. Just 10 minutes from the WW2 Museum, which is highly recommended. The price is right for clean, comfy rooms. Helpful amenities like In-room fridge and microwave, complimentary coffee all day. We used the hot tub several times, and the breakfast was very good. I would recommend this hotel, and would stay here again.

Let me first start by saying, the staff was very nice (that’s why I gave it 2 stars). However, the tv didn’t work. It turned on but every channel said “unavailable”. I had to call.the front desk several times during our stay. They sent someone up (Friday1/23/26) who wasn’t able to fix it. I asked if we could move to another room. They said no, because none of the hotel televisions were working. I called the front desk twice on Saturday (1/24/26), because no one came to fix it, and our room hadn’t been cleaned. Finally, on Sunday (1/25/24), just before we left, maintenance came and fixed it. When we returned to watch the NFL playoffs, the tv worked but had no sound. We had to call twice before they sent someone up. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to fix it, it finally started working Monday (1/26/26) morning (1:06am), we checked out same day, around 11:00am.

The staff were very nice and the rooms were clean. The whole process was very easy and although we had an issue with our TV…the staff quickly handled the problem. It is a very unique and beautiful place to stay. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay! The design of the hotel is charming and an oasis in a busy city. We will make this our go to stay in New Orleans. It’s a quick drive into the CBD, French Quarter and nearby attractions. The attached restaurant is delicious. We got it to go and ate in our room after long travel. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and we felt safe with security consistently monitoring the property. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The good: great location, street car stop is right in front of the hotel, lots of restaurants within walking distance, beautiful courtyards. Crisp, clean bedding and towels. The bad: the floors in our room were NASTY. It was not raining when we were there, yet there were dirty, sticky shoe prints all over the floors. We stopped at a dollar store to get flip flops to wear in the room because it was so gross. When we turned on the lamp on the nightstand it was covered in something sticky. My son found weed inside of the Bible in the nightstand. The first day we came back from sightseeing and the beds had been made and we had our 3 dirty towels and wash cloths replaced with new ones. The second day we came back and our beds were not made, we had 2 new towels and 3 new washcloths. So my son had to use a hand towel to dry off after his shower. The breakfast was a limited selection, cold and not good. My boyfriend was cooking waffles and it was taking a very long time. The attendant was standing right at the waffle maker the entire time and never once offered to assist. Finally he had to figure out on his own that it wasn’t even turned on. And then once he got to the table with our waffles they tasted disgusting. A very sour flavor almost like it was batter mixed with vinegar. I always filter my hotel searches to a rating of 8+ and Orbitz has never steered me wrong in the past. But this is far from an 8+ hotel.
