The only reason why i would recommend this hotel is the beach/water and the turndown/ cleaning room service . we were there for 5 nites and we couldnt even touch reservations at the 2 places that required them, but yet they were closed on Sunday and another place closed on Monday AND Thu!. i did not pay 5 star money to eat at a Buffett 2 nights and 2 mornings cause no other choices. There was water stains and ceiling peeling right on top of the tables at the buffet and the one night it rained the dance floor had a puddle right in the middle of it. we asked if we can go try to restaurants at the sister resort. negative.
.. the bathroom door in the room was too swollen or perhaps the floor was uneven so u couldnt open/close without a terrible noise. the tiles in the bathroom had black between them. time for a resort update!
While the idea of no tipping is great in theory, the only thing it accomplishes is a lax attitude on the resort from entire staff. they are nice and courteous but no-one goes the extra mile for you. a dollar and a smile goes a long way so do so from the beginning.
The drinks at restaurants and on the beach all tasted the same as if they were pouring vodka outta rum bottle and viceversa.
The catamaran cruise was one of the perks we enjoyed, id recommend booking it in advance. its an afternoon cruise starting at 3:45.
Every time we left a note at the "concierge" 2 days later was gone.. like waiting list for the restaurants an extra blanket etc.
