Our stay at Rondel Village was average and we will not return. Upon checkin, there was chaos, disorganization and lack of efficiency. The room was clean, but outdated and lacking essentials, like shampoo and conditioner. Our in-room safe did not work and after several unsuccessful attempts to repair/replace it, we resorted to storing our valuables in a friend's safe. We ran out of toilet paper and towels a couple of times, even after our room was cleaned. Our housekeeper also removed our quilt for "cleaning" and it was not replaced for 2 nights, even after requesting to have it back. There is a nightclub that stays open until 4am on Thurs & Sat night that is very loud directly next to the resort, making it difficult to sleep.
The beach, pools and hot tubs are nice and kept clean. We felt safe at the resort, but were constantly harassed by people trying to sell us things on the street & beach. The restaurant is convenient, drinks are good, but be prepared to pay above US pricing.
For the price and experience, I would not recommend visiting Rondel Village or Negril.
