Best vacation Hotel

My sister and I spent 4 nights at the Fairlane Hotel in Nashville, TN. We had a fabulous time, the staff was wonderful, they met our every need and were ready to help us with big smiles and water… we will return and recommend to all our friends and family to stay at the Fairlane Hotel.

Hidden “Experience Fee” - Swindled

After a pleasant stay we were incredibly disappointed to see a Fairlane Hotel “experience fee” of 25 dollars tacked onto our bill after check out. With some digging on their website it seems this fee is to cover the cost of the “complimentary” champagne or water they handed us at check-in as well as a couple of small dining credits. This came across as underhanded and shady and turned a positive into a negative. Why “give” something to someone only to extract the payment of said thing from them later? This is why: to tricking them into dining at the hotel, to hide the fee from hotels.com and to grift while pretending to gift. Finally, to add insult to injury, VIP status with hotels.com entitled one to two complimentary drinks at check-in.

Poor service from front desk agent. Asked where the Gym was, she mumbled yeah and then something about the 2nd floor. Coffee shop was not much better. Cashier did not even acknowledge me, I was standing right in front of her. I waited patiently, and finally said excuse me, may I order, oh yeah. Room was not cleaned one day. Faucets were loose. This is not a luxury or even mid range hotel, more like a 2 to 3 star.

The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about city life and activities. When you check in to the hotel, you are welcomed with a complimentary drink. The decor was aesthetically pleasing with a clean, modern style.

Nashville Fairlane

The hotel has a very cool art deco vibe and we enjoyed our stay. We were offered champagne or water when we arrived and our room was clean and comfortable. The mattress was perfect. We slept very well despite some street noise, which is expected being so close to Broadway. We did wake up this morning to no hot water which wasn’t awesome. We ate breakfast downstairs both days and the coffee and the service was inconsistent. On Saturday our waitress was lovely and the lady working in the gift shop is also adorable.
