I recently stayed at Ruby Foo and, unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The room lacked basic necessities — no toiletries were provided, and there were no amenities as advertised. To make matters worse, none of the phones in the room were working, which made it difficult to communicate with the front desk or request any assistance. The only positive aspect of the stay was the customer service at the front desk — the staff there were courteous and tried their best to help in person. However, the lack of proper facilities and attention to guest comfort overshadowed that effort.

Solid hotel! A bit dusty by the night table areas, and the pressure of the water in the shower and bathroom sink were low, but other than that would highly recommend. Please provide regular coffee and not just espresso options. Excellent location.

Room was run down with rust spots in the bathroom. Toilet wouldn't flush. We left to get a coffee and breakfast well before check out on our last day there with the do not disturb sign on the door and came back find our door wide open.... apparently the cleaning staff had opened it. After we discussed it with the front desk attendant, he informed us that the room wasn't even on the cleaning list yet.

I booked a four-night stay at Hôtel Ruby Foo’s based on the hotel’s advertised amenities, specifically the presence of an on-site restaurant, which was essential for my client meetings. Upon arrival, I was informed that the restaurant was under construction (a critical detail that was never disclosed during the booking process). Realizing during check in that the hotel could not meet my needs, I informed the front desk that I would not be staying. I was told this would not be a problem and that I would not be charged. Unfortunately, despite this clear communication and the hotel's acknowledgment of the issue, I was still charged for one night. I’ve spent over a week trying to resolve this but the hotel has been evasive and the management has not responded to multiple attempts to reach them. The lack of transparency, accountability, and basic customer service is unacceptable. I’ve wasted hours trying to resolve something that should have been handled with a simple refund and an apology.

This is the perfect jumping off spot for a trip to explore Montreal with teenagers. The staff even let us park all day after check out for no charge, which made my day so much easier and stress free. I defintely appreciated the service and laid back approach. This is our go to choice for a good place to stay.
