Been coming to his Hotel for years, ever since I had a friend living in the Olympia West Apartments which all have the same owner. Stayed in room 213, and I have to say this was by far the worst stay ever. We don't have very high standards and aren't picky at all, but the room was very run down. We had two queeen beds, the bed on the right was so hard and sqeeky that every toss and turn made a very loud horrible noise that keep everyone awake. The bed on the left was soft and made no noise. The front door is a large slider with blinds. The blinds were mostly broken and if some one wanted too could look in pretty easily from outside, which wasn't a plus for privacy. This isn't really the hotels fault but the seagulls were very loud around 7am which was abnormal from previous stays. Some hotels will hire people with falcons or attach anti seagull devices to prevent this disturbance. It really seems like this owner is extremely cheap and won't invest in repairs or infustructure. There are so many good quiet choices in Pacific Grove I'd recommend choosing something else. On a plus the staff was extremely friendly!
