Its always clean and quiet. Grounds are well kept and rooms are updated and clean. Its located close to downtown and Fishermans Wharf. All within walking distance. About the only negative to this property is they charge for parking. I feel if someone is choosing to stay at your location, let them park their car. Its like $20 Daily.

A wonderful hotel

We love this hotel and have stayed here several times. The staff is friendly, the rooms are great, the restaurant has a wonderful menu and they are dog friendly. A perfect place to stay!

Please share this is our second time staying at this lovely hotel. We liked it so much last time we even requested the same room. And got it. It has a fireplace and it’s spacious and just lovely. Amazing water pressure in the shower, too. The area around the hotel is so convenient, and it’s so easy to get north and south from here. We went down to Big Sur in about an hour enter Carmel Valley in 15 minutes. The staff here are lovely, the spa was great, and last year we ate a nice meal at Esteban. If we had any quibbles at all, it would be with the lighting in the room. The area near the fireplace, so perfect for reading, is not well lit. Some nice sconces would be a good touch. Great spot. We’ll be back.

Great location; walkable to wharf and other quaint areas in Monterey. Short ride share away from many key areas such as Carmel, Cannery Row, and Pebble Beach. Esteban was a great surprise. Only down point was staying above the fitness center hearing everyone working out with loud music or dropping weights. But would do it all over again.
