Had problem with room door locking. Manager came to fix with a screwdriver. But quickly realized it was not possible. I asked for another room and first was told they were full. But after 5 min they gave me a new room. Appreciated the effort however they should have offered another room as I asked for immediately as obviously one was available. Staff was polite from the front desk to cleaning staff. The price for this hotel was overpriced. Others in the area are $30 to $50 less.

When we turned on the air conditioner, it smelt like moldy wet towel. Had to shut it off immediately. The bathroom also had some mold in it on the top of wall. The bed was comfortable, but the smell was too much.

The hotel does not have an elevator. This is inconvenient to rooms on the second floor. The hotel does not have a common rest room on the first floor either. Many restaurants, shops are near by, some are within walking distance. This is very convenient to hotel residents.

We liked the free breakfast in the morning as it made the start of the day easy. Free parking was nice as well.

Key fob for our room would not work . 3 days we were there . Kept saying it was our phone that was demagnetized the fob . The maintenance man finally showed up as we were packing to leave 1 hour before we left . He used 2 of his master fobs on his key chain , they didn’t work . Then he used his master steel key would not open the room door . They then realized we were right and the whole door handle was to be removed and a new handle with fob unit installed. Had to order door handle unit . Was very annoying every time we left our room we ended up at the front desk for a new fob . Eventually the new fobs would not work on our room , but we were leaving , thank goodness . Should have given us a new room . Was not happy, just had surgery on my knee .

The staff were friendly and helpful but the rooms are dated. I would even question even whether the door was firesafe as i could see light from the outside hallway around the frame. Not just the floor level..the sheets were pilling and scratchy. They appeared clean but the pilling made sleeping uncomfortable. Also noted that the property would be difficult for those with mobility issues
